Opening the Ascian temple quest has me fight some fire elementals and fire snake thingies.
It also spawns about half a dozen of them in a wide (6 square or so) circle around the temple location.
Sometimes some of them spawn on open sea. They cannot be interacted with, they cause graphical abnormalities, and they corrupt any save made afterwards such that trying to load it results in the game crashing.
