I actually had a similar problem with E:WoM. The game would launch full screen, but the edges had the Object Dock and Taskbar "poke through" functionally, so my mouse was locked to the edge until I alt tabbed and went back in. Then everything seemed to refresh.
It's odd to me that every other game/program I use works fine with Object Dock active, but Stardock's games (makers of Object Dock) always seem to have issues (this includes SoaSE, Elemental, Demigod, & gal civ 2 all have some issue or another when it comes to having object dock active while playing). One would think they would test their own products against at least some of their own other products.
And I like Object Desktop, which is why I paid for it and use it all the time, save for the performance (it tends to conflict with Win 7 64 explorer.exe causing the system to eventually bog way down and the CPU usage of explorer.exe to go up to 20%... it doesn't do that at all when Object Dock is not active...). I'd like to not have to disable it every time I want to play games. I have no icons on the desktop, just in docks, so if the docks are not active, I have no way of doing anything short of launching task manager and restarting or launching things through command. Cumbersome either way.
Anyway, the point of this post is to draw attention to the fact that E:FE is broken under this configuration and needs to be fixed before launch
