On the sixth night after the Summer Solstice, fishermen living around the Lake of Vastness observed an unnatural, localised storm above the Lake. The whole Lake was restless, waves beating the shores, and lightning reportedly struck the water several times. Strange, eerie light was also seen coming from the watery depths that night, and the locals discovered a mutilated corpse of a huge sea troll washed on the shore, clad in a strange blue hauberk that was torn in half, revealing a gaping wound in the chest. The troll was allegedly equipped with all sorts of incredible magical items that vanished mysteriously before the local militia arrived to secure the scene. In connection to this incident, the local administration reminds the populace that all artefacts discovered on a field of battle have to be surrendered to the local Kohenim representative immediately for careful examination. Remember - unknown magical devices may be potentially dangerous to your health!

On a south-western shore of the lake, a bone-chilling apparition has appeared to terrorize the local populace. The invader was obviously a long-dead wizard or a king, animated by the most unholy magic, wielding a frosty blade. A hastily-called militia contingent was quickly scattered after the assailant quickly drained their life with powerful magic. Gehenna officials were not available for comment during the following week.

A peaceful, isolated mountain province of Kornburg, whose inhabitants consisting mostly of farmers and fishermen has recently experienced a sharp increase of religious fervor, has been massacred by a strange, unliving being resembling a decayed satyr covered with living, poisonous vines. This nightmarish monster has reportedly attacked several provinces before, choking life from people and cattle alike with highly toxic fumes. The Gehenna Kohenim Council responded by establishing a special task force called Supernatural Counter-Response Armed Militia (SCRAM) consisting mostly of specially equipped mages and undead-hunters trained to deal with diversionary enemy tactics behind enemy lines. Details about the funding or training methods are strictly confidential, as well as the chain of command of this new para-military government-funded body.
