During the beta, the game downloads the data files. For this to work you have to be logged onto an Impulse account. If you had crashed and then run the game right away and saw this error message, it might just be that the crashed game log on hasn't timed out yet. Usually if you wait a min or two and try again, it will work again without changing anything. If that doesn't work, you can hit Shift + Tab on the main menu screen to pull up the Impulse overlay, to make sure it has your impulse account information correct.
