1.0.9n BETA - Can someone tell me why soldier's cloak still cost 10 gold / 10 materials for 2 defense?

it's not inline with the other armor...never has been.  perhaps if it added magic resistance and dodge or something; otherwise make it cost cheaper.

I see things like the soldiers cloak as a luxury for wealthy empires. A normal empire probably wouldn't be able to equip every soldier with the item, but here in Sparta, we spare no expense

 

But yes, the item does not balance it's cost with it's attributes, I agree....

It's a bonus armor layer.  It shouldn't be standard for this slot to be filled.  The cloak should be costly to make it a unique slot vs a standard one.  And it's gotta be imbued with magic, otherwise how could it rate that armor class.  Magic imbued items should have an added cost.
