How can you have played a 5 hour game already? Try starting a new game instead of loading a savegame which was known to crash :/

start a new game.  magic seems to be teh pwnage now.  which is cool.  because the game is called war of magic.

but

other changes seem to have made game worse.  75% reduction in gold from monsters + no ability to speed up tactical combat = 1.08 FAIL

1.08(1.08 a i guess), wow this is aggrevating. the pathfinding is useless forcing you to move your characters manually, but now a whole slew of things require two movement points and with the serious lack of differences in tile detail, i can't tell, by looking, whats going to take 2 and what isn't, even with the pop up terrain info I am unsure what does and doesn't take two, possibly because of some special circumstances(moving onto certain goody huts seems to take two movement points irregardless of the underlying tile) but trying to navigate each tile by the pop up is just dang tedious anyway. as if this game weren't slow and tedious enough. this is just intolerable.

 where is the change log specific for 1.08b, you patched something,  what was it? or did you just bury it in with the 1.08 a ?

Am I the only person that still can't play multiplayer?   It says to check a box on the impulse settings.  I did and it still doesn't work.  WTH?!?!?!?!?

1st new 1.08 game 3rd turn in about 100 wolves and bandits show up and pwn me.

2nd game crashing every time I alt+tab....... still waiting for that polish

Is anyone else able to recruit heroes?  The only hero-like entities I see around are NPCs with no ability to recruit them -- there's no icon under "Actions" if I click on them even if I am right next to them.  Nothing says why I can't recruit them.  So far I've encountered two of those, and absolutely zero recruitable heroes.

Wow.  Just updated to Mod 1.08.  Unbelievably, it is even buggier.  Mod 1.07 would occassionally cause my computer to spontaneouly shut down.  Now I played one turn, the game locked up my computer and crashed.  Now the game won't even load - it just crashes after the initial intro screens when I try and load or start a new game.

Is it really that hard to write a game program?  I mean you guys have successfully done it several times before...

I guess the really frustrating thing is that I can see this game's potential through all the buggy programming and the patches that make me keep restarting the game.  I guess next time I want to spend $60 I'll just take boxing lessons.  At least then I'll expect to get sucker punched.

Please keep trying to fix this - I want to play it, I'm just getting really frustrated.

O don't even know what to say.  The whole reason for ME.  Buying this game was the Multiplayer option.  Now that doesn't work.  By the way I followed all of the prevoius post tips and it still doesn't work.  I even reinstalled the game.  I like STardock but this game is pissing me off.

Could you provide more detail on what you consider unpolished so that we can address this? Thanks!

5 hours? I have WAY more than 5 hours in my save game...over 500 turns. So, I'm supposed to lose all of that progress? The patch should fix the bugs in the actual game's code, not the data stored in a saved game.
