After playing for an hour I pushed up all my graphics settings and restarted the game. After that it crashed to desktop every time I clicked on my home city. I reset the graphics changes I'd made and narrowed it down to antialiasing. It looks like the crash bug only happens when aa is set to 4, when it is set to none there's no problem. Other than the city thing I didn't see any other problems. I could click on other cities.
