updated to the ati 10.8 created new dxdiags started new game on usual map (huge) 4 other kingdoms/empires played game up to turn 160 when Out Of Memory error happened twice(note windows reported the out of memory twice on the single run.
the ram use at the start of game was ~800mb and at oom point 1.715GB
the zip was not created, so rared the dmp, added the err,dxdiags & saves
note the 10.7 catalyst drivers got to 140 turns and was the only difference between runs, so it has made a small improvement of approx 20 turns.
in the game I was researching civilisation and the diplomacy trade only, no warfare,magic or adventure.
