I am an intermediate 3d artist proficient with Maya. I do environmental and some character modelling. I am knowledgable of rigging, texturing, UVing, and Animation as well. I am interested in providing some help as I see a lot of promise in Elemental and have free time while I wait for the parts of the game to be moddable become moddable (scripting and such).
What I lack is the means and knowledge to export my work from maya to the format required by Elemental. I have included 2 examples from of a dwarflike character I am working on as well as a link to a higher resolution image of it. The model is 3dMMO polycount (1507 faces) -- which is something I imagine will be desired for Elemental game models. Weights are still being painted on the model (Weights control how the model's skin curves and bends at the skeletal joints) so the mesh deformation at the elbows will look odd.
