I agree with Nemesis7884, the sheer amount of treasure that would continually spawn around my city was mind-bending. There was just too much treasure, and I'm pretty sure I found like 10 swords from the different level 4 drake skeletons. I think the items at the low level of adventuring should be the generic swords, and have the more and far rarer nifty items be found on the higher level points of interest. I did find a dungeon that allowed me to go into a tactical battle, and that was rather awesome, though I did auto-resolve the fight, as I would have gotten killed without being able to use magic.
I really liked the city building, and the ability to build upon resources that are in the area of influence, that is by far one of my favorite additions. The magic system is shaping up nicely as well, all it really needs imo is a better quick-cast bar. Also, in terms of stability, this version is by far the best one for me. I rarely crash, and even the intro of the game plays without a hitch now. However, with all the treasures on the map and such, if I fully zoom out it does start to lag out a bit.
As for the tactical battles, I see their potential and look forward to their awesomeness to come. In closing, I think the starting equipment for your created sovereigns needs adjusting in terms of price. I don't think you should spend points from a talent pool to purchase starting equipment. Perhaps use two different pools, one to use on talents/attributes and the other on equipment. It just doesn't make much sense that I'd have to weigh losing intelligence and gaining a pair of boots, or staying intelligent and walking around on sundered earth barefoot(cosmetically not bare, but you get the point).
