my xp dev system athlon x2 5200 4gb ddr2 7600gs latest nvidia drivers win xp pro 32bit sp3
the game settings are large, several continents 4 ai & me with custom sov cloth map mode because it was unplayable ( horrible/artifacted (buggered) graphics)
also had several instances of the cloth map going black in areas for 1 turn and other misc graphics glitches.
and another problem spotted is that the basic garden can not be built
had several crashes similar to my win7 i7 box, but the latest will either cause the programmers to pull their hair out or other similarly drastic issues,.
problem is tham the last autosave game had taken OVER 40 minutes to load before I ended the elemental exe ( at the start of the load the ram useage was around 192mb at the 10 minute mark I noticed that the ram useage was at 4mb. I assume these symptoms relate to a corrupt save.
if my thought is correct it would be a nice idea to have some form of checksum or other method to detect such corrupted saves so that the game can warn the player that that particular save if faulty.
if this computer is still high powered I can install on my toshiba satellite l20 and test on it but as it is a single core celeron @ 1.8ghz w 3gb ram & ati radeon xpress x200m it should be toward the minimum spec for elemental
