Procipinee died in war against Capitar, far in the northeast. Or so it was said and the Foreigns Relations said.
In theory Sovereigns cannot die unless they don't control cities but there it was a Blue Pariden City, in the north.
Not sure if it was graphical glitch, I carved my way through throngs of Capitar peasants (rabbits come to mind) until I reached the city (many dozens of turns later):
Yep, Pariden city but without units of Procipinee. And if you click that Talk button, the game crashes.
