The display of the weapon, achievement, tech, or whatever advantage is gained at the 0% of each tech seems both redundant and confusing from a gamer's perspective. When the player sees the empty bar and the advantage there, she or he is left with the impression that it is still unresearched. While anyone with a basic math background can make the distinction I think that it would be best to clarify and put this at the end of a prerequisite tech and at the beginning techs make them somehow distinct so that there is no confusion.
