(I'm never going to be good at modeling...
Modelling isn't everything, I specialise in animation/lighting, any models I make myself are very simple and crude.
With what software?
I use mostly Maya, Lightwave 3D and Adobe After Effects (the latter two at school, the first at school and home). I prefer Maya because its the only software I have found so far that renders motion blur (objects travelling at certain speeds will be distorted and blurred at the edge of the frame).
I thought the graphics looked like they came from a PC game engine from a couple years ago honestly.
Thats exactly what I mean. For the worlds leading VFX company the graphics don't half look amateurish.
EDIT: Looking at it again doesn't it remind anyone of the cutscenes in Escape From Monkey Island?
P.S. I was excaggerating when I said I could do better in an afternoon, I tried and it didn't amount to much...
