I figured out how to download to FlashGet without using the drop target. The key is to *not* use the "Download" link, but to simply click on the thumbnail. The regular download link has a bunch of garbage tacked onto the end, which confuses FlashGet. The thumbnail has the regular file extension on the end, so FlashGet is able to see it. Of course, you have to add all the odd file extensions to FlashGet, such as .dxpack and .wba, so it knows about them. I would imagin

Wallpaper Managers in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

What are the best free wallpaper managers? I'm currently using WallMaster, which is decent, but requires you to manually add new wallpapers (as do many other managers I've tried). I'd like something that I can just point it to a folder or folders and it will dynamically keep up with the contents as they change. Just set and forget. Of course, it needs to be able to change to a random wallpaper at a predefined interval. Aside from that, I'm not looking for any

Suggestion for Message Board in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

It would be extremely useful if WC had some way of telling you which threads have new messages since you were last on. Or at least show how long it's been since you were last on, and then you can match that number with the numbers to the left of each thread.

Not just Explorer icons, but Explorer in general. WebBlinds does nothing for Explorer. I agree that WebBlinds is the better program for IE. I hope it someday supports WE.

AJC: Did you try any of the handy compatibility modes in file properties? Often times that will get these programs going. I can honestly say I've had virtually no problems with compatibility and I'm a bit of a software geek (though not much of a game player). The only two problems I can think of was ACDSee 3.1 was crashing badly in RC1. I uninstalled it and then re-installed it and then it worked fine, so that wasn't really a WXP issue. And Logitech's MouseWare wouldn't ins

MooShoo: Neither WebBlinds nor WindowBlinds does everything that ThemeBar does. For example, let's see you change your Windows Explorer toolbar icons and/or throbber with either of those programs. China: I don't think that's fair. They have sections for LiteStep and NextStart. Both of those programs compete with Stardock products as much as ThemeBar does. WebBlinds has long been available to the general public and it's not yet out of beta. There were many DesktopX betas available to the general public, also. There are probably other examples.
