Since magic is enable, I have decided to play with Lady Procipinee as she got lots of nice spellbooks at the start. When going toward the end of researchable spells, I have stumbled upon "Summon familiar"' and "imbue champion" whose description clearly states that essence is part of the casting cost. But I see no information about the exact value of the associated essence cost.

Well, sovereign must be able to use magic in order to found cities at the beginning of the game.
I have differents characters on my message ;) What is the language of your windows ?
I am lucky and have a savegame just before that turn. So I load it, set a dstination for my sovereign on his ship, and made a save game http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5057853/2a_ctd_load/before%20CTD.EleSav I hit next turn. I choose then a refining tech, stay on the civilization tree and hit next turn. And I got a CTD <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5057853/2a_ctd_load/Elemental0_803-2010-06-24T1
I experienced a CTD during my game. So I decided to go back to a previous savegame. I load the autosave, save it to another game and tries to reproduce the CTD. I got one, so I restarted Elemental and loaded my savegame. And the savegame caused a CTD. Everytime I have tried to load it, I got a CTD Here is the savegame http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5057853/2a_ctd_load/CTD.EleSav the latest dump I have <a href=
BTW, the married units are correctly gone from the empire tree if I load a savegame.
I know, diplomacy is supposed to be disabled in beta 2A. But there still a way to have access to that screen for making arranged marriage. I have married some of my sovereign's daughters to the Pariden. Then I have notice a strange beahvior with the Empire Tree: Oanespray, capitar princess has been married to Pariden. This is shown with her info card displayed on the b

I'd also like a way to see the list of quests that are active and those
There is already. Click on the NEXT PAGE icon
Not quite. Cycling through pages is not the same than having a page with all quests titles ;)
The quest journal definitely should be modeled after a traditional RPG method. You have "Active quests" and "Completed Quests".
The way King's Bounty: The Legend and Armored Princess handles quests was nice, as you knew the status of all quests and what you need for advancing in your quests.
I was able to kill a bone ogre (150HP, 30 ATK, 10 DEF) thanks to ranged attack. I was able to hit him a distance, reduing its HP. Then I proceed to kill him in hand to hand. Here is the savegame just before killing him http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5057853/2a_boneOgre/BoneOgre.EleSav Then I enter in the lair and got ... ..
In the Kingdom report, there is a quest tab allowing to know all pending and ended quest. Currently, it only displays the start of the quest. It would be nice if it is also displayed: - when you got the quest - when you ended the quest (eventually which unit ended the quest) or if you refused this quest - what reward you got
I found this sweet volcano while I was playing
Where is located this volcano?
Rilis, one of my champions, was exploring the map. She enters in a inn and got the quest to kill rats. She headed to the new spots, killed the rats, got the corpses and went back to the inn. But no complete quest message was appearing, I got the "already visited message" and the inn stay yellow. As I was able to end the rats quest in another 2A game with my sovereign, I decided to move my sovereign, Unuchr, toward that inn. When my sovereign arrived, I tranfered th
But to me it's simply stupid to have a city with thousands of people living in it get burned to the ground in a single turn by an individual peasant
For Elemental, that means a level 5 city. I don't see why you would want to raze a level 5 city, it is valuable.
While you can recruit heroes that add gildar and research. You will fall behind to those players who not only have heroes but also buildings in resource production and research.
A level 1 city can at best, produce 1 gold and 1 research per turn. Merchant produce 2 gold per turn and inventor 2 research. That may be useful to grab fastly some useful low level tech. And it will be some times before a new found city can compete with such output. Now, with the Capitar and th
I should not be able to completely destroy my enemy's empire like that.
Well, it is coherent since you can destroy all your improvements in one turn.
Now, one more important point is raised by this suggestion and that is "how do I get rid of cities I don't want anymore?" The solution is to allow city abandonment (as far as I know this isn't in but I could be wrong). Basically just automatically eject the player's troops from the city and turn the city i
Don't worry about the humor thing. I'm pretty sure it's been said that Elemental will be much more serious in tone than GlaCivII.
Especially since it is profressionnal writers from Random House and not Brad who are making all the various descriptions.
there is unfortunately no save option... is there anyway to save the game without leaving it(before tough battles etc.)?
Have you tried to click on the game button (top left)? That should give you the list of the available savegame.
Have you tried to enable the city zoom mode when building?
Why do we not start with 2 materials?
Because we can found them in a goody hut? Like building study is only needed if you don't have a champion that produces research.
I maybe be wrong, but historically, aren't marriage made in royal/gouverning families for mainly political motives? Why it should be different in Elemental? BTW, in a world that is slowly rebuilding, which NPC would refuse to be a King/Queen of a new realm that is shaping?
