I am wondering if there is a way to echange items between units. I have create some scouts (2 movement on the map) to explore. They are finding items and I would like to give those items to my sovereign. But I am unable to see how to do that.
Peace Phoenix
The kingdom report seems incomplete: My level 1 city produce 2 gold per turn but the kingdom report tells me that my income is 0 gold per turn.
This beta is the first where I am able to play on the cloth map. All previous betas crashed at or before the creation screen (see https://forums.elementalgame.com/370865 ) I am pleased that my 5 year old computer is able to play this game, even if I found that the response to mouse order is a bit slow. But I shouldn't expect too much with my setup. I have spotted the following things: - if you play at 1024
It typically takes a town 1 turn to produce a given point
What is the targeted duration for building a legion of 1000 armored fabio when training 1 requires between 11 and 14 turns?
My Thinkpad X40 (5 year old laptop) will be a test box.
Is it DirectX 9.0c compatible or just DirectX 9.0b compatible?
Well, it seems that lots of EA titles (7) have been put into the impulse store since the beginning of the week, available only for north america
Impulse already has EA and Ubisoft.
But only for North America, not Worldwide. I can't currently buy any EA or Ubisoft games on Impulse as I am in Europe
The Impulse announcement is pretty cool though.
could it be that Impulse get worldwide rights for EA titles or Ubisoft titles ?
It’s one of those “Duh, why isn’t everyone doing this already?” type things
That could fit since one complaint when comparing Steam and Impulse is the better regional availability for steam on some titles. But it could be also the ability to register retail games on digital st
The educated guess is not enough, when you are prepared to f*ck up the entire world economy with the carbon cap. We require facts, not guesses.
Somehow, I am wondering if the entire world economy isn't currently going into the wall due to its dependancy on fossil energies and its ability to destroy natural ressources faster than the nature can resplenish them (ie current trend is more on short term gain that on long term impact)? And I guess that in few decennie
I loved this article on this other site by somebody by a different handle who is definately not you or your views on the matter.
I have followed the link http://draginol.joeuser.com/article/303512/Piracy_PC_Gaming And it is a post made by Draginol. And for the unawares , Draginol = Frogboy = Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock ;)
The translation argument is rather weak.
Not sure it is that weak for France ...
Plus, Impulse is currently only available in English and some publishers require translation of the client to be made available in say Germany or France.
Well, I guess they required it in order to conform with some local laws.
I have a 5 year old graphic card. It isn't a DirectX 9.0c card but I am able to play Knight Bounty: Armored Princess which list DirectX 9.0c as a minimum requirement. In previous betas, I wasn't able to go past the intro movie. This time, after having modified the pref.ini file to remove all kinds sounds as well as the shadows, I was able to create a new game. Sadly it crashed during the world creation screen. I have submitted an enty to FogBuz <a href="http://fogbugz.stardock
I really need to make sure that Stardock badge shows up everywhere.
It could be also useful to ensure that avatar pic with the stardock badge appears also when you are the op ;)
Good luck advancing the idea and making it work.
Yes. I really hope that this idea will have a better ending than the Epic Story Generator in GC2 which was cool on the paper but horrible to implement. It has ended as an event logger (which is useful to remember what has been done)
Any hint on the impact of exchanging warfare tech (in green, yellow or red) has on your next warfare level or research costs? And one might be cautious about impact on AI research capability when you give it lots of techs.
Zoomba, are you aware about what is mentionned in this thread http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1343 on the runic games forum?
Hi all, i have also preordered Elemental just 2 days ago but i have yet to receive an email with the code.
Well as entering into the beta was closed at october 1, you need to wait for another opening that is planned to late Fall.
Hmm, so Frogboy works at SD then? I'll have to flame that nutter Draginol instead
Have you already found your next target when Draginol will state that he is working at SD too? ;)
So, if *All* goo does is require a Cd-Key and email address when loaded, what's to stop me from creating a dummy hotmail account, and pirating the game all I want, just including a text file with the email address and pword/key?
I think that activations are logged and some triggers can be raised if the same serial id is used simultaneously from differents IP at the same time and from different time zone.
different forums can have different karma counts.
I know. But thats doesn't explain why: - on elemental.com, I have 13 karma given by 6 persons and only 5 lines explaining karma origin - on impulse.com, I have 9 karma given by 9 persons and only 1 line explaining karma origin
Not so important but...I think that it is bugged...how come that I have 14 karma for example?
Well, looking your karma from the elemental forums, https://forums.elementalgame.com/karma/2394730 , it says you have 14 karma given by 7 persons. And it displays only 7 lines Myself, on the elemental forums, https://forums.elementalgame.com/kar
Um isnt this what the beta is for?
Only on negotiable things ;)
why not just give all players the option they want. Sovereign dies game ends. (Option 1) Sovereign dies brand new weak heir takes over (Option 2)
Because it is non negotiable and a core concept. More, having gameplay option like this requires more coding for the AI, and even for the UI (which heir to choose)
The sovereign being a unit in the game is key to the game mechanics that will become more apparent later.
I am waiting to see those game mechanics
Instead, we’re now leaning towards if your sovereign is attacked and your side loses, the sovereign flees to the nearest city.
This design decision shouldn't contradict the game mechanics about the sovereign being a unit in the game.
Since there is magic in Elemental it fre
