Meglobob's tip of the day:- No. 14 The perfect 1st turn? Put industrial capacity upto 100%. Put taxes down to where yr homeword is at 100% approval. Rush buy a factory on yr homeworld, build it on highest manufacturing bonus tile, do not be scared of building on a precursor mine. If u have high research bonus
Yep. That's the one. Did you think it should have been higher or lower? Higher, near the 300,000 pt total, in a position like that. Oh well perhaps next time? I do not think extending the game would have improved yr score, when u go over 9 yrs the score seems to drop sharply.
Good day Diplomats... 1. B.C. Space Orcas 4847169 2. The Galactic Diplomats 4767782 3. The Overmind 2526323 4. The Galactic Empire 1641715 5. Qourth Empire 1631668 6. The Browncoats 1378250 79387... sneaking ahead. Looking forward to yr next scoring update damoose. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/
There will be an announcement next week. Probably to late too influence the debate. But u never know, so here goes... How about releasing Dark Avatar before xmas, lets say Nov. by polishing up all the work that has been done so far, so its releasable, thus allowing everyone the opportunity to play DA and u get to collect the cash now.
Just started my new char with 272k. Now we are more than 300k away ... Way to go Syrrus. Noticed the main diplo players seem unable to post r
Doubt it. Overall stardock have took a position of toning down the power levels a player can achieve, to give the AI more of a chance I believe. Most games seem to develop like this, unfortunately. No good for us power gamers.
With all the time and effort you invest in a game this is certainly disappointing. I sure hope it doesn't happen to me. Mumblefratz, well we r talking scores. What score did u get for that game u had 500,000 BC income? R u still playing the game out? The last game u posted was 189,500 pts 22/09/06, surely this is not it? Also has eve
This is a games forum. Offtopic is really for other games/sci-fi stuff etc... Politics is another ball game, there r plenty of other sites that allow u to discuss politics, go talk there.
I had 9 AI on suicide, gigantic map, loose clusters, all abundant, very fast research. I cononized 130 planets before I got bored of the lack of challange. 17000 is extrermly low for a suicide win. This is very strange. Yr score should have been much higher. What was yr population/income/tech research/military like?
Master U, if you’re lurking and read this I'd like to encourage you to return to the forums and to the game in general. It's much quieter around here without you and that’s not necessarily a good thing. There are those even outside of the empire you founded that miss your youthful exuberance. You made a noticeable contribution to the GalCiv2 community with your mods and th
Meglobob's tip of the day:- No. 13 Unlucky for some. But not u, if u choose to be exceptionally lucky, a +25% luck bonus for a meagre 1 abilty pt has to be the bargain of a lifetime in GC2. No matter what race u play, try to have some luck, over yr entire game it will make a difference. Other ways to get luck r play Torians +1
They'll be an official announcement next week (Wednesday). Can't wait
But we are working on an unnamed fantasy 4X strategy game.
ahhh but you're wrong. that's exactly what i'm saying. i cover EVERY SINGLE WORLD I OWN with a defense fleet, AND maintain 12-24 attack fleets, AND cover every world with full military starbase. and still gross 1500BC a turn . You'd never get enough ships past my border to bug me, you'd have to pass through at last 5 attack fleets, and even then, if you managed to
for those of us who don't read single letters I am a busy individual, single letters save work!
Just attack, u automatically get a senate vote. U r not allied with the race u r attacking r u?
Meglobob's tip of the day:- No. 12 Be the ultimate arms dealer. When tech trading with a AI, always trade for the most powerful weapon in there arsenal and once u have a deal for that, the AI will throw all previous weapons techs leading upto that one in for free. So even if u get ripped off in this deal, u can more than make u
Kerberos (see the spelling ) are slightly paranoid. If you've been on their forums at the beginning you'd know what i mean. What's worse, i couldn't mention Sins of a solar empire on their forums...that subject was forbidden! (both teams used to work together before). Now that Stardock is publishing SoaE, They'll even see more conspiracies... S
Well done rav8, Frogboy's plugged yr B5 mod as 'a shining light' , to all other modders. It's in the news items. Much deserved.
So what do we do to protect our planets ? I do take time to protect my planets in a very basic way. The AI usually attacks any of yr planets that r close to it. So I park a ship in orbit of my front line planets, this dicourages the AI hugely. The ships I use for this duty r, frontline ships that r damaged, ships I have bought
I am sitting in class right now listening to a stupid girl. We are both in 11th grade and she is considered by most to be a *&#@!!. I have to vent this so I can remain sane in normal life. To make u feel this way, makes her a perfect future wife.
Yea, I have already played previous versions of rav8's B5 mod and its awesome. Any B5 fan will love it. It plays like a different game to me, identifying with the races alot more. There r other excellent mods as well, the star trek one, randominator and others.
Back in 2005, Tom was contracted for a lump sum to help write the Galactic Civilizations II manual since Tom had spent the last 4,000 years ribbing me for how craptacular our user manuals were. Roughly a year later, Chick, as one of the best known reviewers in the industry, gave a negative review to Sword of the Stars. Kerebos, the game's developer felt there was a confli
(Im still curious why on earth, or should I say Arcea! they built the manu capitol on a 700X research bonus tile, on a class 7 planet deep inside my territory??? Silly fools) The AI cannot beat u, so it trys to wind u up instead... Just a thought.
