What about a progressive series of Modding Medals that you can Shine and Polish inside your Impulse account. A digital Medal has to be as good as real one right? The ones I have make me really proud. Especially the Spider Kills one. [e digicons]*_*[/e]

Is the outside the city boundary provides 50% resource deal still in place. That would be another reason to try and build inside the City limits, early on anyways, as much as possible? Need to check that. ;)
I have seen the monster attacking monster (AI vs AI) behavior a lot in .92. There may still be some anomalies like the OP screeny. I think we level the Monsters that spawn via the Adventure Tech Tree. Some crazy stuff has shown up as of late. One monstrous evil thing had 1400 Def. Not sure what could tackle that but I certainly didn't try it. :)

Thing is, though, I worry that there is too much based on luck unless you rush in one particular direction. If you're saying I should wait on my city until I'm near a gold mine, that could take a very long time. If I should hope to get gold in adventures, well, that

The (my) boxed copy didn't even have a Manual in it???? wtf?
Emphasis. :) Worked too. I would still prefer, if we had a choice, to place roads ourselves but that seems unlikely at this time.
As time, and Beta phases, have passed I have come to believe the Dev Team, whom we know are 3 Builds ahead, are keeping things from us for our own good. I can't imagine, come launch day, downloading a game that has no surprises in it. What the hell FUN would that be. There is no way in hell that the current character graphics make the final cut, most don't have mouths fcol. <span style="font-size: sm
"But this is exactly the problem. City income is meaningless if you don't have any choice but to just jump to caravans or else putt along for dozens of turns with a constant income problem. I will try out rushing to caravans, but if that does indeed fix my money problems, then that is just proof of a problem. Remember, the problem stated isn't lack of ease getting gold - it's that you have cho
With the reduction in allowed Military (200 units max. (roughly) the city based Work-Force idea, which has been around for some time under different guises, becomes sorta moot. I can have enough Civ tech come Levels 3-4 that I have 8-10+ Pop. (via prestige) generated per turn. By then the # of structures I will build, mostly Housing, become way more limited if other Cities are to have the required Food to also grow
Raven X, has it been explicitly stated, yet, that a Buildings bonus, one based on a Global resource, is only effective in a city that produces that resource? I always ask myself that when I select my Town Level up Bonus. I am under the assumption that since, say Gold, is a Global, and I select a 20% Gold bonus for City A, I get the 20% Global bonus regardless if City A has a Gold Mine inside it borders.
Being installed on my home PC as I work. Gotta love the kids. As I did with SC, the campaign is where it is at. As an Online hobby, I was not impressed back then with the crowd, just to much hassle and from a guy who played Company of Hero's Online for 3 friggin years. Perhaps things have changed in 7 years???? ;)
I think Kholai's point is that DC is useless against a player playing as a despot who's sole purpose is conquest. No amount of DC will deter his "BEAT MY ARMY or PERISH" mentality. Nor should it. Doing otherwise by forcing it on him/her totally destroys that IC game play style. Use DC as a means to get better deals etc, but don't force anyone into something they don't
"I haven't been able to get caravans, sadly"
Given that the Road system has been overhauled once already, and that Beta 4 is 2.5 days away, and lock down is imminent, I would venture to guess, yes it is what it is for now. I would love to be wrong as I proposed the Node idea way back but alas. My heart flutters still with thoughts of creating Roads with

I seems assured that when the AI becomes a tad more concerned about his Towns, you will not be able to do that as well or as easy. Map size makes a Huge difference as well. Takes more than 50 Turns to just find the buggers.
It is possible currently to re-integrate the singles one produces early game back into a Town/City. It can be done to relieve financial pressure if need be or to do as noted, remove them to make room for larger teams/squads/companies of better armed soldiers. The additive nature does create issues now in the early game as Hero's can group together, making the cost to recruit untenable and fighting them suicidal at
Anyone seen the Opening video start up at what might have been a Game ended by Conquest Victory? Captured a Town, my 8th I think, then BOOM! up came the Opening video. It never finished before dropping to a Memory Out error screen on the desktop? Very strange indeed.
