Maybe only dwarves can create iron golems now in this edition. ;)

This part If you OWN FE and bought it before the end of Dec 2010 you get LH for FREE. is blatantly untrue and thus confusing. Anybody who bought FE has to pay for LH as well. I on the other hand and getting LH for FREE because I bought WAR of MAGIC before DEC 30 2010. PFFFFT! The cut-off date for two free
I am going to have to think about this. My sole objection to Steam has always been that it allows another party to control whether I can access my games.
Yeppers STEAM OWNS YOUR games always and forever. If you do something THEY don't like they can not let you play ANY of them and ban your account forever. Games you PAID for do not belong to you on Steam. That is why it's better to get games from Gamersgate
@ OP I don't remember it being said you get FE when you pre-prder LH. FE and LH are simply different products. LH is built on top of FE, but you do not need FE to play LH. The confusion comes from LH being marketed as an expansion. Normally, expansions require you to own the original product. In this case you do not need the original product. <br
I don't know if I'm the first to ask this (and imagine I am not by a far cry), but as FE:LH is an expansion of FE, although standalone, what becomes of the content of FE in the new game? I bought E:WoM before that infamous date so have the free copy and am happy for that, esp. since the game is so vastly improved, but my copy of FE is not on Steam, nor can I register it on Steam... So, does FE become sort of lost/dropped from my pla
NO. Betas should only be tried by those who are ready to put up with bugs and often bad game play. The purpose of the public beta is for people to give input on what they'd likee to see improved prior to release. FE 1.3 is really a better bet than LH beta 1.
I agree with Frogboy don't play the beta play the better polished game of FE instead. It's not all that much difference anyways exce
While it gives you the FE game engine and elements to play LH I do not think it gives you FE for FREE. It's basically the other way around. If you OWN FE and bought it before the end of Dec 2010 you get LH for FREE. But, if you wait and just buy LH then if you want FE (which is a standalone also) then you'll have to pay the price to get it as well. Since those that bought FE AFTER Dec 2010 will have to pay $19.95 for LH. I wouldn't think they
Ho hum (yawn) (sneeze). whatevah! ;)
The AI will never be as good as the AI in this game is right now. In the 3 earlier versions of AOW before AOWIII it never was any good. While the game maps are pretty and the units broad ranged and racey the rest of the game is a let down. (was for me an many others anyways.) Their best game of all the others was actually their first as it had the best ai of the 3 but had no random maps so the maps got old and boring to play on.
Distant Worlds is the best real time space game out there. Check it out thru matrixgames.com
Maybe they decided to let us who bought the CE ($80) before Dec 2010 will get first crack at it. ;) Seems only fair we did pay the most money for that thing they called a game Elemental:War of corruption. lol
Personally for a 4x game with persistent armies I find it stange that you are forced to fight to the last man even when winning is out of the question. One should have the option to retreat at some cost so you are able to regroup your better units that you spend an age to train to fight again. No army fought to the last man and we should have a retreat mechanics in the game.
Sorry, but this game is suppose to be the SPIRITUAL successor to MOM so if it's going to make that claim then it needs to be A LOT LIKE MOM! ;) So let it be written so let it be done. :_)
Bring back the MOM rules with the two options. Either you raze it when you get it or you can't raze it afterwards or you can raze it at any time any point in the game. MOM rules rule. ;)
Nope, I have never heard of it.
Do a google. One of the best boardgame fantasy games made. You actually designed the playing area every game since the map tiles were like 6 inches each and hexagon. There's a computer version of it also that fans made. Has quite the challenging AI too. Those henchies will stomp your butt in that game also. ;)
Quoting willie sanderson, reply 21 I like the idea of only being able to cast it ONCE per game. Makes a player THINK before using it. And that's what STRATEGIC games are aabout...THINKING. &nbs

Doesn't bother me in the least since that's the way MOM did it (though the player had the right to raze at any time as well). I don't want this 5 turn restriction though. If you're going to FIX IT FROGBOY then make it IMMEDIATELY for both sides. :)
