You cannot change the way the game is meant to be played by picking the options you want from the menu screen. Changing the mechanics of the game would require modding the game. NOTHING that is done via the menu scre

So, anything is possible in the fantasy world that's why they call it fantasy. If you don't defend your cities you don't deserve to keep them. Plus, the reason many whine about it is because it makes it much harder to RUSH out and CITY SPAM which is what they are wanting to do in the first place. lol If you lose
[quote who="Takkik" reply="31" id="3337649"]Willie, MoM was made long before the casual age, and I don't think anybody playing 4x want casual/easy games. But actually, playing summoner is just boring as hell : You must spend all your points into differents creatures, knowing earlier creatures will become useless later and don't even worth to give to your secondaries heroes. Really I don't see how you could win with an army of wargs. Never tested beastmaster, but there i
[quote quoting="post"]I'm still new, only 60 hours into FE and LH. After spending the past two hours trying to start a game with control N, I had to resort to using Ctrl +U to use my actual real life time more efficiently. Weekend time is limited don't want to waste my time by reloading for two hours. I'm playing on a large map as I wanted more excitement but the starting areas, if even remotely useful, the next area to settle is half way across the map. I'd have t
Play on a small map with maximum ai opponents and you won't see the results you're seeing now OP. Small maps are the best challenges.....oh and up the difficulty level also....challenging level is hardly challenging when one is mostly exploiting the ai as much as possible. Let's move up to insane or ridiculous eh? ;)
[quote who="NanakoAC" reply="1" id="3337708"]the point of it is to make troops worthwhile. if there was nothing to discourage multiple heroes, then you'd just run around with a group of 7 heroes conquering empires easily. Champions represent Leaders of Men. Dominant personalities. They work best when they each have room to express themselves, and troops under their command. the fact is quite simple, the game is better this way. i didn't like it
[quote quoting="post"]When monsters raze player or AI controlled city, the city gets razed. The bug is that you can't build new city in that place anymore. If you, however, raze captured city, you can actually build new city on the same spot. I have a save game with monsters just about to raze a city. When they do, you will see that spot is no longer available for settling. The spot had 5/3/1 when I settled it. Save game: Link
Ahhh I see another NINTENDO generation prodigy in the OP's post. Who else doesn't see the need for INSTANT GRATIFICATION in his post? Gotta have it now don't want to wait too slow too slow can't get the hero I WANT. lmao Just use the CHEAT CODES BABY!.......oh wait! ;) Everything he doesn't like I like about LH. I like it slow (ladies do too hehe). I don't understand the hurry to the en
Seriously you can upgrade to an ATI 5770 HD with 1gb ram for a song these days and it's still highly rated as one of the best low end cards now. There was a time it was the best middle of the road card out there. I'd bet you can find one for under $100 now easily.

A "guarded STRIKE" is when union members picket the company they are working for and they place guards on 4 corners of the area they are striking in. ;)
Racial traits are "racists" and we don't need that in a GAME. Already have enough of it in the real world. ;)
[quote who="Foxd1e" reply="18" id="3337027"] Quoting willie sanderson, reply 15 I personally do not like things in the game that makes the game EASIER and all these things you have modded have just DUMBED DOWN the game not improved it. But, that is what modding is for. So that players can create the game EASY as it sounds for themselves.I would personally tweak the AI to be ruthless and raze anything and everything the player has created.I would have the AI c
This is also a sign the card is beginning to fail with overheating issues. Try putting more fan air onto the card. I use a window air conditioner in my computer room blowing right into my case (yes I take the case side panel off). This keeps my cpu and gpu very cold and I do not suffer overheating issues like fantasy reboots and graphics glitches.

[quote quoting="post"] LH is evolving into an AMAZING game, and an even better platform for future expansions/DLCS/mods However, there are five relatively minor tweaks that I plan to do in order to make gameplay absolutely perfect: 1. Make a new engineer unit with the build outpost and build roads ability 2. Change the essence given by scrying pools and oracles to 2 3. Make Adventurer's guild non-unique and make it give experience every tu
Just because Spell of Making isn't in the game doesn't mean everyone all of a sudden forgets about the elements to make it. Think of it as a long term fizzle. The ai doesn't know it's going to fizzle it just knows you are trying to create it. It should remain in the game that way to keep the AI on its toes and after the humaan player. Nothing to fix here. ;)
@ Foxd1e: This is a FANTASY strategy game not Sci-Fi. ;)
It almost appears like the thing you built or implemented on that turn doesn't take effect until the next turn. Most games give you the items benefits on the turn created or used. I've seen this myself in my games where I get growth on the next turn.
The problem you run into ADDING things to cost of anything is the AI starts to lose MORE GROUND in PICKING the right method of development path. Also having the resources around you suggest (other than metal) isn't always possible. (Civilization III anyone?). So, no there doesn't need to be MORE things to cost of buildings for the AI to have to decide and deal with. The key to a successful game is K.I.S.S.
Seriously folks some of you throw the word LOVE around waaaayyy too much....like toast to a dwarven breakfast in the hobbits house. How can you LOVE a game?? It has no feelings for you, it will never give LOVE back and yet you LOVE it? You know there are words like "enjoy" an even "like" is better than LUVVVVV. Love is a word you use when you want to get into someone pants don't waste it here in a forum far far

Oh pahleeze you just mouse over them to see what the tooltip says they do. They don't need to be larger. Man of all the nitpicky things this one takes the cake.
