I really like FE. I really do. But I continually discover that there's no beating this simple army composition: 1-2 "tank" units that soak up damage, + masses of high-damage, defenseless ranged units. The AI can't deal with this, and it doesn't know to use this tactic either. What you need is all units to have high initiative so they can move first. Have your tanks move toward the enemy, to draw aggro and stop them from getti

You can HOPE it starts next thursdays but to EXPECT something is out of the equation since things change and deadlines increase. ;)
Quoting WaitingOnTheGame, reply 18 Frogboy. you yourself have designed a good game before with Gal Civ 2, though tbh you did dud it up to the max with the original Elemental. As someone who was once a successful and competent game designer you should recognize brilliance when you see it and hand Soren the keys to the company. Jesus Christ dude, that's just fucking rude.
<p
If you bought it outside of the timeline of 2010 you don't get it free. ;)
Can I have your stuff? ;)
Henchmen are not supposed to be more powerful than your heroes ever.
You never played "Magic Realm" did you?
I like the idea of only being able to cast it ONCE per game. Makes a player THINK before using it. And that's what STRATEGIC games are about...THINKING. ;)
Noticing that the AI often has hundreds of units, many of which aren't a threat, but the AI does raid/steal resources with them, it's what should be done, but it's annoying to deal with and really not fun. This is a problem that is common in Stardock games, GalCiv II had this problem as well. This is probably just me stating my preference to move fewer, more powerful units. Solutions:
Same here I've never seen this happen. Perhaps at extreme or higher difficulties it does (as well it should since that's why there are higher and harder difficulties). To many people complain when a game is made challenging without the AI being actually better at strategic and/or tactical play. Those types of games are RARE and I do mean RARE indeed. The majority of games on higher difficulties allow the AI to have extreme advantages and handicaps. THat's really to be expect
It will be interesting to see if STEAM allows one to gift to himself or his/her own account. Let us know.
The other games I played before(1.20) both on Normal and Challenging I thought they expanded to fast. Only played 1 so far but out of 3 only 1 AI had more cities than me.
Yes but everybody doesn't EXPLOIT Pioneer spam like others do. Some of us like to give the AI a chance and make the game more fun and challenging than rushing Pioneers out as fast as we can. ;)
Nice avatar btw is that you?
@Willie - if you don't have anything constructive to say then don't fill the forum with garbage, it's really getting a bit tiresome. Adding a smiley face to your post doesn't make it humorous or any less annoying. In particular in this case, the post is in in the Support area where we want it taken seriously. This is not working as designed, Frogboy stated some time ago that the 5 turn limit was added as
Or possibly it would be better to pre-generate where the treasure is, so that each time you reload, it will be the same. That would remove the temptation just fine.
+1 yep that's better than CHEATING. But, it should be pre-generate what the treasure IS and then if someone saves and reloads they'll get the same thing every time. ;)
Wow what a CHEATER you are and you expect THEM to CHANGE the game to the way YOU WANT TO PLAY IT? LMFAO hahahaha I think I have finally seen the most stupid suggestion evah. lololololol
Even a dazed person can swing and hit in a boxing match and many times come back from it quickly. So wild swings are not unheard of from a dazed player. The only thing I would adjust to it is the ability to hit stat but I wouldn't reduce it to ZERO chance. So, Working as Designed right now. ;)
I think teleporting is an exploit anyways and should be FIXED or REMOVED from the game. Then they can change the AI's behavior not to raze a city so quickly and wait until the human player gets there and then raze it. ;) Teleport needs a major cool down of 30 seasons then it wouldn't be such an exploit.
This is working as designed to give the AI player an advantage ;) Also even wandering npc's and monsters an animals can do it too. This makes the player HAVE to DEFEND his territory instead of running willy nilly out there leaving his rear undefended or with very little defense. Serves you right now you'll learn to protect your rear. ;) No "RELOADING" a saved game now to cheat. hehe
Yes because you have to SPLIT experience between your Sov and all your Heroes/Champaions and units. So a full stack really puts a bender on you gaining lots of experience as you would have had you really fought an EPIC battle alone. ;)
Nope no discounts for futher expansions of Elemental AFTER FE. There were plenty of discounts for War of Magic AND FE after they came out and still are but the discounting days are over unless you bought it BEFORE 2011. ;) Those that did will get LH for FREEEEEEEE....everyone else has to PAY through the nose. ;) Edit: Oh and we ALSO get to BETA test it before everyone else too. ;)
OK, if the Tear of Cyndrum only heals you up to your original HP, then that explains it. From the description, I thought it increased your max HP by 3 for each kill.
That would be a little bit OVERPOWERING don'tcha think? ;)
Do tamed creatures gain XP and higher levels? If not why not?
I'm not sure it's a BUG and is therefore now WORKING AS DESIGNED because it's a very powerful overpowered spell that if one had the ability to cast it on all ones stacks one would easily drive and beat the AI on most ridiculous and insane levels even. No fix required. ;)
I take the wealthy trait and spam pioneers. I work on economics first to get a good level of income and reduced unrest. Then I churn out the better quality units instead of the trash you start with or can design early game. Also don't let them kid you getting to longbow archer units takes a lot of time it's certainly no "early" game tech. :) Some of the best early game archers though are the ones you get from doing a quest. <span sty
Another question: is LE a bit like Gods & Kings for Civ V where the content is simply layered on top of the existing game?
Nope LH is a stand alone game all of its own. Though they say they will still support FE independently of LH I'm a bit leary that LH is going to take over the progress and you'll HAVE to have it eventually if you want to progress on. I'm not too keen on that because I DON'T LIKE the
