Having some number of "No files found matching mask" messages in the debug.err is completely normal. The files in the My Documents folder are created by the game itself, not the installation, and are left upon uninstall as they may contain savegames, etc. Please see the beta reporting sticky for details about obtaining a dump file from the crash which can help the devs isolate your problem.

Fogbugz accounts have to be created by the tracker admins--you can't sign up for one yourself. Unfortunately we've had to close it off from the public due to it getting spammed heavily. Updated the sticky with a note about Dropbox, which a number of people around the office use and recommend. It's free but requires an account. Please don't use Rapidshare, Mediafire, etc., as the timers, bad captchas, and download limits would add a lot of unecessary trouble when we need to gather the
Uncharged preorders do not display on your account since they're simply queued invoices at sales until they actually get charged. You should have an email from when you placed your order, though.
If bootcamp works with the iPad
It won't. The iPad uses a custom non-x86 CPU; AFAIK no desktop versions of windows are ARM compatible, and i doubt Windows Mobile will see support for an Apple-specific one any time soon. On the other hand, various other companies will shortly be releasing new x86-based tablets which will actually be usable as standard computers, rather than being little more than scaled-up iPods.
I'll be back in May to review...
And no sooner. I think we'll do just fine without feedback like reply #2.
I and others have also pre-ordered and I believe we need to wait for beta 2 at which point we'll be contacted (and charged). Beta 1 is currently scheduled to run 'well into february'.
Yup. Orders are simply queued and not processed until the next opening.
Roundup updated with holiday feedback.
If you're experiencing crashes, please provide your debug.err and/or dump files as described in the stickied reporting instructions.
This is likely the previously reported issue where the figure is the one in the wrong place; the square should be where the unit is actually at.
I have always wondered how cheats were programed in.
Same as any other command in the game, there's not really anything special about cheats code-wise.
Yeah, just ignore it.
There isn't a 64bit version yet (waiting for 64bit Havok last I'd heard), but when there is there wouldn't be any extra charge or different purchase. Impulse should just install whichever your OS supports when that time comes.
In that case be sure to post your map seed on the bad starts thread if you've still got the debug.
Updated for Beta 1C release weekend.
Please post debug.err files via pastebin.com or a similar service in the future so that threads stay readable, thanks.
Did you spawn right on top of a creep?
Please prodive your debug.err files when making reports (details on that are in the stickied reporting instructions). Also, it is more helpful if you keep it to one issue per thread.
Will there be a special collectors edition of the game?
Yup.
This should be fixed with Cari's new movement code that ensures all moves are done before the turn proceeds.
For future reference, please make each bug report in its own thread so they're easier to collect and sort.
Why did I have to do that? Does that mean I have a crappy video card?
You'd have to specify what specs it has, but most likely, yes.
Getting the game to work reliably with DX 9.0a/b cards is still spotty and something we're hoping to work on, and I think the actual game stuff is a higher priority. But it'd really be advisable to buy a new card in any case, considering your x800GT is now four generations old and was a budget card to begin with. The compatibility situation is certainly not going to improve with games in general as time goes on.
All the extra arguments feedburner puts on the URLs seems to be breaking them. Just delete everything after the ? and it'll load.
When mounts get into the game you'll be able to catch them easily.
What race are you playing when you select a civilization? All it says is you're choosing between Kingdoms and Empires, what does that mean? Shouldn't I know that I'm choosing between Humans and Fallen (And other mod races) and between life magic and death magic?
Kingdoms are Humans/Life, Empires are Fallen/Death.
