Elemental has a real problem with being unintuitive on the UI right now. I much prefer the Civ IV or even GC2 model to what Stardock does right now with Elemental.
What sort of things do you think need improved? We can't fix them without specifics.

We generally fill all box orders with CEs until we run out. The change there is just a clarification.
Looks fine to me. Do note that people with higher forum rank (generally Stardock people, such as Charles who has given you karma) can give more than 1 point at a time.
I've been asking for 3 for a while, but the most I've ever gotten is "perhaps someday, but not right now" and I'm fairly certain its going to bet he same answer when Kryo or somebody official spots this thread.
We usually do, just not until after release.
IIRC, no. Last I recall the license terms require that the user has and maintains the appropriate status, not just the initial purchaser.
Known, please see the [link="http://elemental.kryofx.com"]roundup[/link] before reporting further issues.
What version of windows are you running? If you're on 7, you might need to actually right-click the fonts and opt to install them explicitly, rather than just copying them.
This is fixed internally for the next update.
You need to upload the image to an online host such as imageshack. We can't read it off your machine.
Does anyone get different behavior in either case?
It's been reported that the camera also goes off-map if you've had units die as well. As to the OP, are the scouts autoexploring? The tab function *should* only cycle through units with available moves, AFAIK.
Stores will generally let you preorder just about anything they intend to eventually sell, but we don't do retail preorder boxes and you can only get beta access through a direct preorder. So you'd essentially just be reserving a retail copy for release.
As has been said previously, we do plan to have a variety of fantastical creatures available through some means, but they're going to be "special" and not cannon fodder as a general rule.
but at the same time needing to have Impulse open to run any of the programs is having one too many screens oopen on my PC and one to many programs running. Of course I could simply search for the individual short cuts within the Start Up Menu but I wouldn't mind having the software give you the option of wanting a shortcut install on the desktop for those programs you use most often.
You do not need Impulse running to use any app installed through it, and there's an op
One should be able to click and Drag, seeing distance and travel time path-ways for each location as you are dragging the clicked mouse along.
Agreed. As a side note (I believe Disciples or AoW did this) we could have the first turn's movement path colored differently so you know how far you're going to get right away.
What sort of commands would you guys expect to see in a unit movement context menu? I don't think we'll be having too many different things like you'd see with a former in SMAC for instance.
I realize that Brad isn't worried about me, but I am not gonna be a happy camper if DX is sunsetted!!!
I wouldn't expect it to go anywhere since we use it for our game UIs and such too, not just widgets.
Updated.
If it happens across multiple apps and did not in the older version, it is likely that a reset bug was introduced in the new driver. If so, it's stomething ATI will need to address.
This is a known issue.
Try manually reinstalling the Visual C++ 2005 redist .
Please post only one issue per thread so that they can be categorized for dev review. It's much more difficult to do with compilations such as this.
Is the mipmaps option something I can adjust in pref file?
Yes, you can set MaxMimMapLevels to 0 there.
