As noted previously, the revocation on that account was based on three points of evidence, not a whim. This can easily be resolved civilly with one private message, which seems like it'd be a lot less effor

That one seems to indicate a normal exit from the menu, so it was probably from a crash on exit. Go ahead and grab the current debug.err from my documents\my games\elemental if you had the issue on your last run and we'll take a look.
and are a legitimate user of Elemental.
No one is visitored (we only revoke posting privileges) by the moderation team based on a single factor alone. 1) You experienced the tampered-exe error, even after a clean reinstall. 2) You posted a debug.err file indicating no version data--that is, the game was not installed or updated via Impulse or a retail disc. 3) A query of the system indicated you have no registrations on the account you were posti

The point was to reassure people that we're sticking with the game and not moving on immediately. It's not a subscription and I'm sure we'll be doing elemental-related stuff for well more than a year. It could have been worded better though, certainly.

I didn't see any bandits in your autosave. The previous autosave had two bandit armies with the same random leader, but they died and vanished on defeat without respawning.

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via [link="http://pastebin.ca"]pastebin[/link]. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem. The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session. If you guys want to argue about whether or not some random internet troll is a troll, feel free to do it elsewhere. The poster started this thread looking for more measured reviews, and since the discussion is clearly not providing that, there's really no need for it to continue.
Yes, I wish a refund as is my right by the consumer proctection laws of the country I live in. Laws that Stardock are obligated to follow as they sell their product directly to consumers here, via their internet platform.
If that is the case, then contact sales with your message to that effect and work with them. Discussing legal action on a public forum is not a productive way to go about it.

Anyone with a retail copy can still download the whole game at any time (it's the same process as you'd use to get the patches). As above, it's a simple matter of registering the serial key and using Impulse .

The no-name third party sellers on Amazon have always been an at-your-own-risk sort of thing, for any product. It's impossible to know just what you'll get until you've got it in hand. I got some textbooks that way in the past and it was always hit-or-miss.
