I wasn't even aware of the application (which I found with typing impulse tray and not impulsenow on the start. I will leave it open for a few days and see how it goes.

1920x1200 is too low? I hope not because that is the max of my 24" monitor. I bought the game but I am worried I did a mistake. Not because of the quality of the game or the price I paid for it, but because of the font issue. I don't have the problem with other programs or games so this is definitely a Sins only issue. I hope the fonts can be changed somehow.
[quote who="Baron Zinq" reply="26" id="2459590"] Quoting Efthimios, reply 25 Well, there aren't many strategy games for the era as you know. Close to it, but not set in the dark ages, is http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/DD-PDX02/knights-of-honor It's a good game. I don't remember exactly when it is set, but Feudal Lords was good, but we are talking about 1990 game now. If you don't want to go to fantasy settings,
[quote who="Baron Zinq" reply="20" id="2459120"] Historical war strategy - here I am not sure of the era. World war II or further back in history. My favourite era is the dark ages (love Bernard Cornwell's trilogy on Arthur), but haven't found anything that suits that brings the reality of that time to life. Yeah, Paradox is really great with their games and the support and even how they sell them. I haven't played a game of theirs yet that I didn't find great to play, apart from Hearts of Iron series which for me is an overkill. Grand strategy, well, that is way too broad. Here are a few games: Making History Gold. It is a WW2 strategy game, you control any country you want. It is turn based, but it does not rely on history as
What time is the last hour or so I can order RE5 for the discounted price?
Are you that stupid?
Hold on a second! Am I the only one that see this as a clear indicator that the loud voice comes from the multiplayer/online community, but the vast majority (like myself) buy the game for the SINGLE PLAYER part? Why make it more complex? People like single player games. They don't have to deal with idiots online, they don't have to rely on internet connection to play their game, they don't have to rely on people who play the game 56 hours a day and can (say for RTS ga
I am trying the demo now, too soon to know if I like the game, but I have one problem. I find the text used, very..blurry and thick? It's difficult to explain, but I find it difficult to read. Is there a way to change the font for the game through some setting or whatever?
So if this was 2001, he would be using DOS 6.22+ Windows 3.1 nice
I wonder if Stardock has abandoned any plans for GalCiv 3. I am not talking about making another game in 5-10 years from now. Oh well.
Is there going to be one soon? By soon I mean in the next 2 years. Specific plans (dates wise) for it?
A slow ass beast perhaps lol. Check your graphics and mouse drivers. Also that your set resolution is not larger than the monitor's native resolution. The last one is not applicable if your monitor is a 15" CRT beast. It only might work for the plan TFT/LCD monitors.
Please please please tell me that in the new expansion pack you are going to include either more colors or colours+stripes/dots/whatever to make it easier, especialy in the mini map, for civilizations that use too similar color! As it is the colors available are way too similar and makes it difficult to easily see which is which. The "yellows" are too much alike, so are the "reds", "whites+greys" etc. Please do something about it!
I am looking for other gamers that like the game WinSPMBT and are interested in playing one or more games/battles. You can pick first any country you want (yes even USA), or if you have some weird problem with that, I will pick one first. Settings: no mines, current date (sept 2007), points 9999, engagement. Make sure you have all the patches installed. If you are interested reply here or better email me cause I have the memory of a goldfish and might take a wh
Hmm, sounds like a bug, not that I would about it. You see I never ever ever play the campaigns or scenarios in games such as GC. Always for the "skirmish" games. I don't like scripted events or cases where something might go wrong ^^ My advice to you, before (if you even think about it of course) you dismiss this and other turn based games, stop the campaign, and start a normal non campaign game.
After trying out (buying) GalCiv 2 (and later the expansion pack) I haven't gone back to GC1.
Not a bad idea IMO. The survey modules appear too late in the game as it is IMO, by the time I can build one there isn't a parsec not explored and emptied of anything useful by me or the AI.
I would love something to be done about the4 colours. I find it at times very difficult, especialy with the mini map. What about the use of stripes or something as an option for the colours? I am running out of ideas, but you know something has to be done about it when it gets to the point that you are having second thoughts of starting a game because of the above issue. I don't claim other people have this problem, just me.
That's a good list. Thank you.
Is it possible the get the full list and perhaps even ETA for the games?
After playing the demo of each game, CC3. I got bored with SC, in fact not even the so demanding graphics of SC appeal to me. I find the original TA and TA:K to have far more beautiful graphics than SC. In terms of gameplay, SC feels exactly like another series of RTS games where you make units by the thousands in endless production lines, then laso them and throw them to the enemy. Just not my thing. I prefer CC3, still a lot of units a
Well, just an update... I bought the 360. So far have 2 games for it, PGR3 and Saints Row. Great fun both of them. Stupid high prices stop me from getting more. For example, most games around here cost about 60euros each, where of course, PC games are way cheaper. Outcome? The last few days I bought several PC games for the price of 2 xbox games. I am now thinking of getting SOTS too, I need a 4X game in space, BOTF doesn't even install on my xp2, I ha
BTW, why isn't the Open thread available through stardock.com ---> Forums ?
First of all, I just noticed the new forum and I have to say I love it. Much improvement over the old one, everything is more clear to myself now. Now to the reason I am posting this. Being a computer gamer since the early 80s, and buying my first computer a bit later in 1986 (Atari ST), I never really cared about dedicated game consoles. Had various Atari, Commodore Amiga + computers and buying my first PC in 1994 I never considered jumping ship. Till oh, now. I am sick
