I would like to see War of Magic given another go. With what has been learned from FE, I think it could be great... Granted, in my imagining, I'm seeing some sort of CK2 - WoM hybrid. What a game that would be!

I'm for the "Elemental X" format, or MoE. I liked EWoM too though.
Yeah, we didn't get a chance to beta test the FE scenario did we? I only remember playing it after release.. and then doing the bug reports. Better that we get to beta test the LH one now.
Agreed.
Just my two cents: I set up my coworkers Win8 laptop. At first, my reaction was "what the heck have they done?" Having used computers all my life, I couldn't make heads or tails of Win8...at first. Once I realized that the Start menu is now a full-blown screen, and I can get my desktop with the touch of a button, once I realized I could remove apps, rearrange them, well...Win8 is kind of cool. I can see both sides of the experience. For me, it took
Or, more appropriately what are there uses? I've gotten these things from time to time since FE, and I'll send 'em into battle, and they just don't matter much. The reflective ability is nice, but their HP is so low...
I dunno. I haven't run into banshees yet. I've had the Night of the Dead event trigger though, and do enjoy the nerve-racking thrill of having to stomp the undead armies (thank God the AI doesn't attack cities with these hordes :) ) Undead shrills maybe? It's funny, I play as Resoln regularly but have no love for the undead :)
I like the current model. I don't linger overlong on that screen. Just knowing the class and available spells is enough information for me. I get a good enough feel for the equipment from the displayed graphics.
First, I have not finished the book, so maybe I'm off base here. With that being said: Having the undead-related abilities in FH is SO derivative! I would understand if FH made use of stock fantasy material, but so much effort has been put into creating the lore, it seems a shame and missed opportunity to include necromancy and undead hordes. The exception are the Cinderbones; what a terrific backstory! Certainly, there is a better fit to be found.</p
This forum, and the Paradox forum. Everything else I wait to show up on Gamersgate, GOG, GameStop, or Steam.
Have also noticed slower performance since 0.75 patch.
Just a heads up. Same bug as previously reported .
Won the game, reviewed stats and score, then the research complete (Arcane Forging) screen popped up. At first I thought I'd unlocked some hidden tech (I've been playing Dynasty Warriors, so I'm in that mode :) ). I clicked the continue research button (no other choice) and was taken to the technology screen. I selected Arcane Weapons and hit research... and nothing happened. Game completely hung. Again, this was all after the victory movie, narrati
Would be nice if individual Cyndrum demons could be grouped into one unit. Keeps them relevant later into the game. As an example, I have five or four death shards in my current game. My old Cyndrum demon groups were lost in various battles, and now I have these individual demons that don't really do much. At the games current state, there are no entry level bad guys that they can easily level on, and I don't want to have them hide out behind my mid-game unit
Hehehe, isn't Steam great? Where are all the Steam fanbois with their "it's NOOOO problem playing offline!" when you need them, hm?
It isn't a problem playing offline. Doing it right now. Flipped steam into offline mode, turned off my wifi, and LH loaded. Windows 7 Home Premium
Immediately registered with the site, reinstalled all three games, and have been on an AoW binge ever since. Really looking forward to the revival of this franchise.
A possible solution may be to remove all build-me-everywhere buildings (we're still in beta after all).
It is too easy and frivelous to build every kind of building in every kind of city.
Agree with you. Every time I build a study in a fortress, I cringe a little...but still build it because I want the research. And what settlement doesn't have a workshop?
I think buildings should cost Gold and/or Metal(Blacksmith/Foundry etc ?) and/or Crystal(Magic Buildings?). And maybe Gold for upkeep.
Against per turn
I like the fields the size they are, and the new spawn-right-on-top-of-each-other start to the battle. Gets them over quicker :). But to each there own. The tactical battles are, overall, better now, I think.
Thanks for improving the tactical pathing. I've noticed my units don't get in each other's way as they do in FE.
See debug file here . Darkling Shaman cast shrink once on my speamen, and they were shrunk (image and damage). When shrink was cast again, my spearmen returned to normal size (at least graphically).
Well, I've moved the pics to the Public folder, with no subfolders or organization at all........but now all should be able to see.
Sorry for that. Dropbox and I just don't click. Created new screenshots, see this link . Also included save file and debug
Wither, Freeze, Tremor, Pillar of Fire
Not often. I'll do the stables from time to time... If the outpost has martial strategic value I may build the armory as well.
Yes! That's what's happening. Would be nice if it would zoom, whether or not the army is currently selected. Thanks for the pointer!
