Edited my original posts with some new observations. Hope they help.

A fair review. I agree with the "needing soul" comment, but think that will come with an expansion pack/mod. Metaphysics aside, this game will have "soul" when the various facets of play are unified (this is something that's been said before): victory conditions should be mutually exclusive to a greater extent. Just my two cents. Navel gazing aside, I am THRILLED that yet another good review has come in! Stardock stands vindicated!
Did some more digging, here's what I've observed. I'm starting to think there are two separate issues: Missing Champion HUD images: Strategic map: Armies led by champions generate a green-hued picture in the army HUD, instead of an image of the army's leader. Only the image is broken, the object iteself is still clickable. Tactical map: In the turn-order column in combat, champions also generate a green-hued b
Yes! Good review. As to the reviewers credibility, I don't mind. If I were a reviewer, I would only have posts/reviews for Paradox, Stardock, and the occasional indie. That's just where the good games are :)
Uninstall first, delete folder second...oh well, everyone has to learn somewhere, at some point.
Great video. Always nice to see the faces behind the game. Can hardly wait to get home tonight!
I played Skyrim compulsively earlier this year, but the bloom is gone. The game revolves around varieties of ways of killing things; once I realized that, I was through with it. Don't think I'll play another Elder Scroll game again (played all three since Morrowind). They are pretty though :) For console gaming (what little of it I do) I've gone back to my Wii and Zelda: Skyward Sword. Graphics so are not everything. I'll give Skyrim this:
Congrats on a job well done. E:FE is a great game. Not much more to say until Tuesday :)
This is an AI trick going back to GC (and even Civ5 uses it). The AI offers you some diplo offer for the express reason of draining your coffers, then DoW against you, since you can't rush-build anymore. I've learned to be wary of those offers.
I think I was opening a unit display (needed to check magic resistance of damage type...) Yeah, in the bottom left you can see the tooltip for stone golem, so my mouse was definately over the action queue, and I did click for unit details.
Just my two cents. I use familiars much as many of you: extra freeze/wither caster, and extra summons. A long time ago (forget which beta) I did have a somewhat formidable familiar, but haven't pulled it off in a while. Point in case: wasn't until around turn 200 in my current game that I bothered to summon one, and that was only for the extra freeze (was being invaded by metal armor-clad Yithrili Oppressors)
On the overland map, I'd ordered my army to a Humble Inn. Prior to the move it was attacked by monsters. The army still moved to the inn, and the combat started (used to this issue). During the combat, got the popup for the quest (that's never happened before)
Good sentiment. As a coding hobbyist, I understand some of the effort that goes into making anything on the PC. Hopefully the skills they developed for LoP will be used on future projects. Even the failures teach us stuff!
So I would assume it'll be on a similar sale during the Winter sales.
It's only $5 now, if you can spring for it.
They mentioned coal as a resource in the game... Other than that, a sufficiently accurate description of the game. Glad to see WoM only mentioned in the first sentence, and only as a chronological reference.
Resoln. All I play. I love magic, and those who can mightily wield it.
Agreed. It's been a blast being part of the beta (first beta I've ever participated in) and seeing some of the effort that goes into making a great game. The availability of the design and production team in the forums has been great.
80+ And Dallas has nothing on thw true heart of north Texas, Fort Worth :)
I also turned off auto-turn (and do for just about every TBS) and found the experience improved. Also confirming the weirdness where enemy units will appear to move away on the map, only to be attacked two tiles away by the opponent they were initially next to. Not a game breaker (usually), but it does break immersion. In the same thread, getting the loot pop-up before a quest/dungeon has actually been cleared is a little weird. Has never broken my game (as far as
At least 80. I've played far worse that got far better on Metacritic. At least 80. Probably deserves more, but you know how reviewers are...
Haven't noticed any bugginess yet. Nothing that just jumps out at me anyway. Will keep an eye out. I've had very few issues with CK2, in wither its vanilla or DLCed forms.
So can anyone sell me on CK2 over CK? Because CK isn't doing it for me, but I love EU, and I love the IDEA of managing a court and going from being a count up to being a Duke to being a King, but it isn't evident that I won't just end up having 4 daughters, dying, and that's game over.

So ... CK2 ... is there a demo to try it out? I couldn't get into EU1, is C
Sengoku? Really?
Well, no Sengoku, no CK2. I saw Sengoku as a test bed (and maybe pre-funding) for CK2. No, I don't play it anymore, but it was well priced for what you got. I put Sengoku in the "Paradox Lite" category that Crown of the North and Two Thrones reside in. Just my two cents. To the OP: I agree Endless Space is pretty solid, and I love the ongoing support. &n
I have a confession to make. I'm not proud of it, but it just happened. It just happened. I have not been faithful to the beta for the past 24 hours due to Paradox's release of CK2: Legacy of Rome, and other miscellaneous DLC (thank you GamersGate for Blue Coins. You have my loyalty because my loyalty gets rewarded!). OH MY G-D! It is amazing! EU1 got me hooked on Byzantine and Orthodox history, but this is just too much! I'v
Amazed and amazing. Boats will be a nice campaign feature. Looking forward to knowing more about minor factions.
