Any chance of releasing the e-version of the manual a few days early for pre-order customers? That way, time spent reading the manual does not take away from time spent playing the game. LOL

Agree completely with OP. I don't want to be penalized or feel like I'm not getting the whole game because I wanted to read reviews before I buy something. I don't want to feel like I am missing parts of the game because I bought from X retailer instead of Y retailer, etc. I totally respect Stardock for the way they do business.

I just read in the recent interview with Brad, "It’s a turn-based game, but movement within a turn is real-time.". When did this happen? Is that only in multi-player? Is this "real-time" aspect at least an option ? One of the things I like about turn-based games is that I am not pressured to make all my decisions quickly and be fast and efficient at making all my moves (and feeling obligated to
Ok, I tried to use the printscreen button to get a screen shot - but for some reason it always dumps a totally black screen (no screen shot). In other programs and on the desktop, the printscreen button works fine on my computer for providing screenshots - so I'm not sure why it fails in Elemental? S
I'm embarassed to admit that I have never learned how to host images online to display in forums, etc. However, the link that Heart Shaped Man was kind enough to provide illustrates my problem. As he stated, it is the text under the "Logistics" header that is really bad for me. When I am playing,

Sorry. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. The game isn't even released yet. However, I did read a forum discussion that came up with that exact strategy (garrisoning old units to defend your cities). Take it at that.
I just found some material that talks about

Is this aspect of the game MODable in case Stardock isn't overwhelmed with the customer response to this request? LOL I'd really hate to have such a cool game rendered virtually unplayable to me because I have trouble reading the text? =(
They can't really be defended with armies in Civ5. Civ is moving to a 1 unit per tile system, and a hex map. You can have at most one unit garissoning a city, while it can be attacked from 6 surrounding tiles, and bombarded from beyond that. So yes, most of the city value will come from the cities themselves (including defensive buildings like castles and walls), including multi-tile bombardment capability, not from garrisoned m
I've long since said that cities should be able to defend themselves. Not against Sovs or overwhelming armies, but small scouting parties, bandits or occasional monsters? yes.
Not that Civ is the end-all and be-all of TBS games, but I think I read that in Civ5 cities will have the inherent ability to defend themselves according to their size and the technology available to the defending player? They can be defended further of course with actual a

Is there any chance of Stardock offering an easier to read font than the one that is currently being used in the beta - at least as an alternative? Thanks for your time and consideration.

My question: I seem to recall reading somewhere that the graphics will be even better in the release version, including things like improved ground textures, etc? Is this correct, and if so, can you please elaborate about which areas of the game's graphics will get even better in the release version?

Having a game be easy to MOD and create new content for can be a HUGE upside. The only potential downside to that coin is whether there will be a reasonably easy way to asses the QUALITY of all this potential content: is it balanced, is it reasonably well thought out, is it well written, does it even WORK properly, etc? I am excited by the MODability of E:WoM, but that aspect of the game could be made even better if there can/will be some efficient way to sort out the

The recent modding dev journal piqued my interest: I'd really LOVE to see some examples of what kinds of thing can be done in terms of creating quests for E:WoM?
Beta 1Z2 is scheduled to be released this week (today or tomorrow). The beta will close to new members tomorrow afternoon.
I'm confused about this. Does this mean that those of us new to the beta from 1Z will have our access revoked, or that people who pre-order after tomorrow will not receive beta access?

Just wondering if quests will support multiple outcomes in this game? For example maybe you get a quest to retrieve a stolen magical artifact, and upon retrieving it you might have a choice of who you wish to give it to, or keep it for yourself, etc?
