I'm talking about jet fighters flying into another countries' airspace. What exactly are you talking about?

Yeah, except the ships are getting destroyed in transit to their rally points. Once again: Have you ever had a game where you're thinking: "well if the AI sent those ships at me in ONE BIG MASSIVE FLEET" instead of as a hundred individual ships I'd be dead? One of my major points is the rally points for fleet assembly should be set much closer to home than what the AI is currently doing. The problem is if you try to make the AI smart, it might backfire and make i
By 3 to 1 ratio?
Fair enough. I am being racist against the Yor, though I still believe the Yor should not desire snuggler colonies. But is the ruse in Gal Civ III better than the ruse in Civ IV? If not, then Brad should adopt more tricks from the Civ IV people.
The Yor is still limited in max pop size. So if you can get 100 colonies to their 30, you'll still have the edge.
First they have to teach the AI to avoid those borders, then maybe they could look at that. But I truly doubt it.
Yeah, I know. I was thinking about that too. The damn idea has to be programmable.
Is it better than the AI we have now? I'm not saying my idea will allow an AI to beat the human. I am however arguing that it IS BETTER THAN THE AI WE HAVE NOW and that it is relatively easy to program. Think of the AI you're facing now, versus the AI from my idea. Which would be an easier opponent if they can both mass the same number of ships overall? Have you ever had a game where you're thinking: "well if the AI sent those
Quoting marigoldran, A maxed out fleet logistically is about as concentrated as you get. Anything that fights it on an even technological footing will take SIGNIFICANT losses. FWIW, this isn't necessarily true. Yes, if two fleets meet in the open
Allow the AI or the human player to destroy foreign ships in their influence territory without having to declare war. Problem solved. You want to fly through my space? Fine. But this gives me the right to shoot it down. That's how we do it on Earth.

Now as far as the point of the post I would do my best to match fire with fire, trying to counter his fleets with defenses on his strength

Oh good, I'm glad they tried. Was the problem for the Yor they sent too many small fleets and didn't make one big giant fleet? But regardless, well done on holding them off. But yes, tourism should suffer in war. JUST LIKE HOW THE YOR SHOULD NOT WANT SNUGGLER COLONIES BECAUSE IT MAKES NO SENSE. SNUGGLER COLONIES ARE FOR BIOLOGICAL RACES. SYNTHETIC RACES DON'T SNUGGLE.
This brings up a serious point from current game. I'm alterian, and the Yor did an excellent job with colony spamming which I couldn't do anything about because I was surrounded by others first. By the time they got to me, they were 4x (pun intended) the size of everyone else. I was gonan throw in the towel, but decided to see how far I could go. They obviously invaded, with bio warefare on my newest worst
The problem is that in fleet combat with maxed out fleets it doesn't matter if you have 10 fleets vs 1. ONLY ONE OF THEM CAN ATTACK AT A SINGLE TIME. Regardless of the final outcome, even the winner will come out heavily damaged. Put it this way: if the human catches the AI off guard and has superiority at the beginning of the war, the AI is dead anyways regardless of how you program it. My strategy is designed for the AI to mass its ships BEFORE

Hypothetically speaking. Would you: 1. Attack the fleets with your existing ships in the area and lose them piecemeal while doing little or no damage the maxed out fleets. 2. Retreat all ships in the vicinity to the worlds and take advantage of planetary defenses. 3. Retreat some ships in the vicinity to protect the worlds and slow the advance down, and retreat most of the ships further in so you can ball up and create fleets that can c

For example, you've proposed tat the AI should flee from unbeatable forces and give planets up in order to regroup, which, consequently means also that the AI should engag
AI rally points should be set at their homeworlds. Without the concept of borders, that's the safest place to place ships.

If you have the Dense trait (more mass can be packed on ships) pick up the tech that lets you build "Small hulls." This means you can now pack colony modules on a much cheaper frame.
