I voted excellent. EFE is really a great come back story. I went through Demigod and WOM and sometimes felt like my warnings and posts were going unheeded. This year, you guys have come out of the gate at full force with SinsReb and now EFE. For fun, I tried playing a game of Age of Wonders: SM and you can't really appreciate how much of a world EFE delivers until you go back and look at these older games.

I think some of you just need to take a break. How many months or years have you been playing it? I played a little bit of the first public beta and then didn't try it again until beta 4 and it was like WOW. This is a great game! I'm having a blast playing Beta 5. There are some pacing things that can be improved but if I had purchased Beta 5, I would have been more than satisfied.
According to the new change log, they're changing this.
This needs to be fixed.
Sounds like you guys need to work on the install process a bit more. I'd hate to see an otherwise excellent game get marred because the installer didn't do a good job installing over older versions.
Are you playing with mods enabled? I wonder if there's some conflict for you.
I saw this in earlier builds but recently it's slowed down. Haven't tried on beta 5.
I rarely lurk at that site anymore. Too much noise. But I thought the point of the great douching was to cut down on the shitard ratio over there. Didn't they form their own exile sanctuary where they could circle jerk off in harmony?

Metacritic score: 70 http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/warlock-master-of-the-arcane Apparently the world doesn't share in the gushing seen here.
Do people lower the difficulty levels? I lowered it to novice and the monsters don't even move.

What do you do when you get tired of the hand crafted maps? Half the fun of these games is exploring a new world. You do know it primarily uses a random map generator? I liked the Warlock demo. But then I played it a couple more times and then I realized how little there is to it. It is easy to give a good first impression when the maps are hand crafted.
I saw that and was personally angered and disappointed in stardock. Its one thing to lock a thread and say okay we are done discussing this. Its quite another to try and pretend it never happened and sweep it under the rug. pathetic move guys, really pathetic.
I think that thread was a turning point where Brad gave up on caring what the forum zealots think.
The demo plays like a Civilization mod. It's enjoyable the first time you play it but gets old really fast.
When Challenging becomes challenging I'll be happy. I don't expect to be happy any time soon. :(
The Civilization tree after the first few is worthless. The magic tree after the first few techs is worthless. If they want each tree to mean something they gotta do these things.... Have the Civilization tree have a lot more things you can recruit. The magic tree should have a lot more...well magical stuff in it. Especially strategic spells.
We agree on this. Brad likes being heavily involved with the community that likes his games. Hazarding a guess, he seems to get at least part of his creative energy this way. But he doesn't sit back and wait to be thanked for a finished game, and that's an issue.
Are you implying that he is expecting a thanks for FE beta? Talk about a strawman. It's a false choice to imply that not being a snot to the CEO means being a fa
I've never looked. How many different monsters are there?
Oh I agree. But here's the problem for those people: Brad doesn't have to put up with shit. As they say, he holds all the cards. He is under no obligation to sit here and take crap from anonymous people. We either want Brad to participate or we don't. If we do, then should should afford him a modicum of the respect that he has earned. If you want marketing pap, then wait for one of their moderators to pipe in. If you want the CEO of the company to participate,

Strawman arguments are a poor color choice for you.
Look who's talking. They have run the exact same poll at the start of every FE beta. The difference between the way Derek treats and Brad gets treated is obvious. If Brad disagrees with someone, he gets WOM shit thrown in hi
I voted Good. If it were released, I'd vote Fair because of the bugs. The problems I see are two fold and fixable within the current game's design. Balance -------- Sovereigns >>>> Champions >>>> Trained Units This single thing messes everything else up because you can win the game with just a beefed up sovereign. The problem is remarkably easy to see. The sovereign starts with something like 30 HP. A trained unit has lik

We also don't have the same volume of strategy games being made compared to FPS etc so there are less games to compare against too - which makes these scores (particularly for niche genres) really subjective and ambiguous - the random scores tha
