I try to use a different handle on every forum I am on. That way, the baggage of one forum won't follow me to another forum. Every forum is a different microcosm of humanity. That "broken forum" place I remember. They're the people too crazy for QuarterToThree and that's saying something. I agree with others that the voluntary isolation we see results in extreme outlooks, that forum FB linked to is a good example of what happens when rotten people get
Maybe Disney could remake the prequels or re-release them with a better edit. Anyone ever see the Phantom Edit? Made Episode I much better.
I find user reviews useful. I find user scores worthless.
Play MORE games then dude. lol Yeah look at my profile and my JOIN date dude I been around longer than most moderators even.
yea and your profile says you've made 3 responses including that. I could see some people giving torchlight 2 the nod. definitelt best strategy game. do you even have this game?

Does this review count on meteoritic?
We need a better eye rolling image. [e digicons][/e]
Hmmm, I actually have XCOM and dishonored, and I don't think FE is at this level yet...
Because they crash a lot, lack replayability or both? I have both. Good solid games. Much better production values than FE. Take away XCOMs cinematic flair and there's very little to it and it's not really fun to play more than one time through.
78 hours and counting.
So it exports XML? Where do the graphics come from then?
Definitely. The game could have been released a month ago. I think Stardock should have released it a month ago before the Fall rush. If anything is going to hurt this game's success, it's that Stardock was so paranoid after WOM that they got trigger shy and released it when there were a lot of competing games.
Magical content is pretty much my concern when it comes to depth. Over 2 years after WOM and magic still isn't close to the level of MOM...
If MOM came out today, it would get savaged. It's like those guys who insisted that Space Empires IV had more depth than Galactic Civilizations back in the day because it had so much more stuff. None of which the computer players could use. Can we get a 1.0 change log? Thanks!
Quoting Bellack, reply 39I'm not currently noting bugs at this point. so I'll give it a 70 at this point. With current bugs I'd give a a 68. That's awfully low in my opinion. And here I thought I was one of the most negative guys here in this forum. I would be quite surprised if the game got less than 75.
I would be really surprised to see any review less than 4 stars. I&#
Who is talking 1 year? Yah, I think games that are over half a decade old don't qualify as modern games anymore. Modern to me means it won't look blatantly dated. Crusader Kings II is a decent, modern game but not on the level of EFE. IMHO you have to go back to Civilization IV BTS to get a game that's at EFE's level. That's a long time.
There's a lot more than that. I suggest you check out all the Paradox titles, such as the Hearts of Iron series, Europa Universalis III, and Crusader Kings II; the KOEI games, especially the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Nobunaga's Ambition series; the many war strategy titles published by Shrapnel Games; and the excellent American Civil War game, Forge of Freedom. And they're all essentially "modern times," if you mean sharing a raft of modern feat
So I've been playing the newest build. It's supposedly a beta. But feels finished to me. That's not what I want to write about. I discovered Stardock years ago from their WindowBlinds stuff. Then I got into Demigod which was a disappointment. Then I got into WOM and that was a bigger disappointment. I know people don't like me bringing that up but you just got to face it. As a customer and a gamer, Stardock has 2 wins and 2 losses wi
User interface is in the eye of the beholder. Between the tutorials and the tool tips and the build in encylopedia I don't know how much more straight forward you can make a game of this complexity. If Fallen Enchantress gets marked down because the AI doesn't nurse maid the players enough, that will be a sad statement about where gaming has gone. Reviewers are always complaining that games treat us like idiots. Well here is a game that was made for grown up. It
Insane world difficulty means it's a lot harder for the computer players. The toughest game would be easy world difficulty, insane player difficulty.
The bugs I've seen are either cosmetic or more commonly are subjective requests that they're listing as bugs. The game was ready for release weeks ago. What I downloaded last night I'd consider the 1.01 version for most games I buy these days. I don't know if that's a compliment of Stardock or a sad commentary on the state of PC gaming.
I find the current beta very polished. I've been away from the forums a bit playing Torchlight 2. It's awesome but I bet its beta testers would have said it needed more polish too. Over at CivFanatics, they would say that Civilization V, latest version, is still not polished enough for release. I'm reading the same forums you are. And as someone who spoke out against WOM and Demigod publicly and got flamed by the fanboys at the time, I think I have some
Stability wise, the game's been ready for awhile. I think we'll be quibbling over balance for years to come. At least, I hope we do.
I'm glad you guys took your time with this one. We've really seen the pay off this past month or two.
