Are we really having this conversation? Seriously? Of course you will release 1.1 before Christmas. It would be moronic not to. There is no comparison between 1.09 and what you have now. Hell, there's no comparison between 1.09 and what you had two weeks ago. It's night and day. What the f*ck are some of you smoking? Second chance? It's a goddam patch. It's not going to get a re review. It's a patch. A massive; huge; wonderful patch but still a patch.

@Dadoo2: For someone who can't even construct a properly quoted response you sure complain a lot about the faults in others. Do you think Frogboy personally codes pathfinding in the game? If not, what does your comment have to do with game design?

Or just have an incompetent editing team, ala 1UP.
LOL. The difference is that Elemental's issues are fixable in a pretty straight forward way. Civ V's problems are core to its design and it's unlikely that Firaxis is going
Wouldn't you also have to put the spell name in the spell book also? You defined the spell but not the spellbook.?

I've been a registered member at Qt3 for many years and there are lots of bright, knowledgeable and mature gaming people from inside and outside the games industry who post there. But the Elemental thread IMO is a lot less "mature" overall and more disrespectful to each othe
That Gamespot review is reasonable in tone but atrocious in score. Do they even look at the scores they give other games? Temple of Elemental Evil got a 7.9 from them which is a game that suffers from many of the same sins as Elemental. I think the user score on the game (6.7) is a better guide.

This is NOT the first time Stardock has done this to some of us and as far as I am concerned, first time shame on you, second time sh
LOL. This is priceless. The game doing a self check to make sure it's correctly patched is now DRM? Oh the drama. What's next? Car warning lights telling you there's something wrong with the car is a form of anti theft? Christ, I love this forum.
Elemental's going to get a 60 or so metacritic average and you think they should be counting their lucky stars? Only an idiot or asshole would consider that lucky, take your pick. Go out onto Metacritic and look at the types of games that get a 60 metacritic average. MOO 3, a total POS game got in the 60s. Elemental has its flaws but it's a masterpiece compared to MOO3 when it launched. And only became marginally better because of fan patches later. So spare us the hater b

There shouldn't be a difference between SP and MP, apart from playing against the AI to playing against some mates online.
You are aware that Starc
Quoting Xan, reply 102 It's called decency. From where I'm sitting it looks more like a very ugly lashing out, championed by a Stardock employee no less, against a woman who said critical things in a reasonable manner. The personal attacks, the way her motives have been put in question, the way people have ignored what she said and focused on who she is, that is childish.
It's amusing because Bradley Wardell has nothing to do with his banning. Tom Chick does, and it was in response to Matt's behavior over a period of time over several different topics. They better not stop updating the game until it's the fucking spiritual successor to MOM that we were promised. I enjoy the game as it is now but I signed on as a MOM fan. I don't expect them to make a MOM clone but it should still scratch that same itch.

Nick, do you ever get tired of being a dick? Seriously? Every post by you screams "sad sack". Shame on you for constantly wasting our time having to read your drivelings. Go away. People complain how modern games are dumbed down and when someone puts out a game that has some complexity to you get people wanting to be hand held. The game's not hard to play. You couldn't figure out how to equip your guy or cast spells? There's two buttons on your sovereign. Only two. One button equips him. The other casts spells. Did you try mousing over them? There are tool tips everywhere.
are you remembering that you take the stones to the enchanter and not to the inn?
