I feel thirty, so it's unfitting for me to be so young. 20 (Am I winning? ;)). Played GC2, Never played PnP AD&D (bit young maybe), but I enjoy the digitized games. Balder's Gate 2 is one of my favorite games of all time (I would have been 8 when it came out). Sort of looking forward to BG: Enhanced too.
-The water is a different colour from the ocean it flows into
I guess it doesn't help there is no 'shallow' sea water in this game (Unneeded). And you go from shallow clean river water to deep abyssal ocean instantly.
Was it complete or in production? Capturing an outpost while an AI is building an improvement should cause the destruction SFX to play and the building will vanish (end of the turn usually).
"I did so because it was a game solely involving differently-hued humans fighting over some huts." But I like Rise of Nations. o_o And Team Fortress 2 (Hell, it only has TWO different colours.) If they move into that no-move adjacent zone type thing, they get forced into a battle with that unit, who would otherwise lock them out. Hmm make sense to put a form of resistance/prevention onto it. If you get attacked by multiple armies, then freeze becomes slightly less powerful. So I don't really mind Freeze/Tremor as is. Maybe when the AI changes come around freeze might not feel so over-powered.
I too enjoy Kraxis. Blood trait is real nice (compared to the rest at least), giving fortify ability to all your units is great too. I like abilities. I think I take Defensive on most of my custom races ;). I don't often get to use the bonus to defense often but 1 handing spears is real nice, when you find one like the Champions spear. You realize what its like to play without Defensive... Originally I'd have had to say Gilden. Big defense, just as big spell defense, but their
Probably not worth it. Better off just taking uneducated and a better trait. Unless you happen to really really want Knowledge, like you're playing Enchanters/Conclaves. Plus you'd look at your race sheet "Uneducated Scholars", WHAT? That's just silly.
1. I'm pretty sure this didn't happen previously. I was clicking it furiously a few games ago because I was 1 crystal off. And I wanted it :(. 2. I FEEL like this happens to me A LOT, though I'm pretty careless in tactical battles so it could have been a miss-click. It is quite annoying when you don't get to kill your intended target, and it deals unnecessary damage to your other units (such a crime).

Changes to 'governor should focus more on effeminacy, and indirect/situational bonuses to cities. Though something like "Training Regimen - Trained unit (either a random one, or all of them) stationed within the same city gains 1 exp/turn" or "Wall builder - Units defending stationed city gain +Defense", to make 'govenour an asset in defending. I keep mentioning more abilities, because I want them haha, "Minute Men - Summons a group of city militia" tactical only

Well, all you need to do is make the freeze debuff expire on the last turn they cant move in, rather than the start of the turn after.

Hopefully it works on Jugs, never had enough influence by the time I had to kill them off to give it a test. :D
Hmm normaly when I trade an item to a hero, I just select him/her in the army manager. Useable items seem to appear at the verry front of their little status bar thingy. Don't even need to use equipment screen. But for ease of use, it would be quicker to be able to use items in trade. I do a decent ammount of management through that screen.
Firstly I have to say, the fact that hes making his point without kicking and screeming isnt the reason his thread will drop off the front page. If you could post on 'nerd rage' theads with out bumping I would be a keen advocate. The reason it will most likely drop off is because it mostly said "We have this game. And its good. Buuuuut it should really be more like that game.". The fact OP has stayed resonable is highly commendable in this day and age. Anyway, while heroes are

I understand you can re-do battles and get whole different outcomes. Reload and get a few dodges, a few bigger hits and you walk away the undefeated champion. I've done it on my current play though. I was looking at Lisbeth the Light's stats and equipments, and when i was ready to attack the bear with my army i went in for it. Only Lisbeth charged forward ;_;7 brave warrior. Oh, Maul? There's very little randomness in a well planned tactical battle. Some times you get messed up hard, having a way to save yourself from these situations is the essence of a well laid out plan, and a well rounded army. The only
I like to play defensive too, the survivability of my troops is my key. Take them on grand (sometimes road-building) crusades trying to never need to replace a unit. While focusing on bumping taxes and keeping unrest low. If I get stuck with a low number of cities I'll try and find a weak neighbor, and when there's some guildar floating go to take his stuff! Never crusade against bears. NEVER.
