Boats of their technology should be able to travel through rivers just fine. If you can produce transports that can hold/move an army and have decent MV and rivers connect to the sea reliably or into a central lake and branch out, then they could be a pretty powerful utility. Not sure if I am a fan of having islands if boats will cause bottle necks in gameplay. Or attacking armies in transport are taken out by naval vessels.

Quendar are still good. Fire for Ice is a good trade off, damaging fire spells are more common that other elements, and dragon breath (which would save me all my crystal!). Thorns is nice but maybe they should get defense/level as well? Building the road should cost at least 1Mv Point. Or even 2Mv Points. Mancer inbuilt +1 Mv, would then let them move forward one square, build a road, then end that units turn. On a horse they would still be limited. Build Move Build (5), Move Build Mo

Was building roads from Legacy of Serrane or Mancer Blood? I usually play with both so I can't remember. Though it doesn't seem over powered to me, roads are basically their special unit. Compared to some of the other crazy things you can do with blood traits. Or just outright better performance in battle from two equally equipped and lead forces.

You could add Champions (Knights of the Round) to unit groups in the King Arthur: The Roleplaying Wargame. It was pretty cool getting your powerful champion on the the point of a mounted force. Giving a hero a personal guard could work. AoE Style attacks deal damage multiplied by the squad count so the bonus HP isn't directly OP It boost a melee champion's Hp/Attack. But you start to run into problems like assigning damage to the hero and its adjoined units. They may have diff

I think the problem is Easy of Use. You should be able to select the unit from an enemy faction, then click a small Kick icon in the bottom left with the rest of the units details. Then maybe make the kick military command linger for a few turns. Also could the player kick military command be a little less polarizing? Whenever I use it my sovereign seems to suggest two options every time: Get Out, or, Prepare to die.

This is why I've always been partial to Air/Water/Life. Makes your units so much better, regardless of how strong your sovereign is. Getting the squad count x weapon damage from a weapon is way too effective. I sometimes aim for squad count over newer weapon tech just because it adds more HP I can heal through.

This isn't about beast master at all! Definitely change your world generation settings. It will produce more fertile locations/sites. I still don't mind the city level up thing, but it would be nice being able to see more of the area around the city and maybe even the city itself by default. Just so you can see what you resources you haven't tapped yet a bit easier. Though my memory is a bit vague on this.

It would probably-definitely be gameoverlayui causing the problem them. It doesn't always close cleanly, specially if the game it was open for crashes (L4D2/TF2 some times for me). If it happens to you a lot, turn it off in the settings and see how you go. Most of the things you tried probably wouldn't have an effect on your problem. It could be other programs you have running too.

Spears don't need to have a bonus VS mounted. Mounted doesn't necessarily give a bonus to melee. So I don't think its necessary to introduce counters and paper-scissor-rock type scenarios. The spears in this game look more like early styled ones. Pretty simple pointed heads. Averange length but sturdy shafts. The sort of things the Greeks would have used (just look at the defensive perk!). Spears were mostly good against cavalry due the the shear mass they could be produce

I guess that would be more "Queuing" tech. Typically holding shift and doing things in RTS games is a "Shift Queue". (I know this isn't an RTS) Could be nice. The game is pretty friendly on a research completion for allowing you to change or continue as it stands. If this change was put ahead the research complete screen would just become an annoyance.

Could be a bug with the sovereign 'perma-dying'. You used to be able to cast Crudgen's Volcano, destroying the block a sovereign occupied. Killing them. Permanently. Causing their faction to disband/surrender. Maybe there is probably a bug with sovereign deaths that cause them to be unable to spawn. You are at war after all. If you have time, try no fogging and keeping an eye on them. Pretty time costly thing to try and reproduce I guess.

Getting the choice of an item could be good. A tribute to how great you are. Balancing it may be hard? Having a couple 1 hero groups (+army ofc.) armed to the teeth questing for gear or particular better than average heroes. What would make it strong, I guess, is when you're attacking you could just combine them into a single even more powerful army, then go city cappin. Though Win-Con related it could be interesting because you could gear your sovereign faster and go for a quest
Instant-Razing is a seriously game-breaking problem
Well if that's the problem then the city could just be 'on fire' for 5 turns if you don't cap it back by then. Poof it's gone. Maybe throw in an encounter based on the monster than captured it, just not to make it too easy. That way it still punishes you for building next to mobs you can't defeat yet.
I don't really care if the exp split goes away entirely or not, but maybe 2 heroes in an army should be the base instead of 1.
Maybe exp share/loss between heroes could be done logarithmically. A few heroes is as good as a couple heroes, but mostly heroes rewards very small amounts of EXP.

I'll just skip the conversation on saving and loading for now. I think this could be a good idea if it was implemented with either scale and/or recurrence. Recurrence is simple enough, the monster pillaged and ate. Then he left. The monster still exists ready to repeat on the next turn if the Great God AI wills it. If a cities population falls low enough the city is razed. Scale would be more like X population is lost fighting against a monster of Y size or Z level

Well I would prefer if roads built 1 tile per turn (or 2 per turn depending on how it works) from cities. Two cities both build the roads towards each other on a per turn basis until the roads meet and the road is complete. With outposts, however, it would only build roads from the connected city or closest outpost/road . Meaning it would technically take twice as long to complete the road to an outpost than a city. Settlers are "engineers" by building an outpost anyway. You just don&

I suppose you could rush buy Spell of Making towers and win the game. But overall it's not very OP. Typically if you're dependent on gildar to begin with, you probably spend a lot of it; So your initial gildar bank is pretty low when you start getting 1%g/turn. At least that's what I have found in all my big money Capitar adventures. Maybe what needs to be fixed is that the bonus is multiplied by town/structure bonuses. Other overall bonuses like Research/Faction/Rac

I'm not sure if it helps but gameoverlayui.exe is the steam shift-tab interface. Try turning it off in the settings. Right click Steam -> Settings -> In-Game -> Disable Steam Community In-Game.
