I don't know if the manual will help you, but if you haven't, give it a go. Some things are poorly documented and may always be. Is your Leht Staff problem retracted like the problem you had with Enchanters? There is an in-game manual of sorts which helps you but I cannot remember how to access it. Things like Dances with Dragons (or any unlock that generates free units) needs a resource on the map to use. Which heavily reduce

The stability of Steam is entirely dependent on your system. I've never had a problem with it, but I've never had a problem with my PC since I built it in 2007 (updated in 2010). I suppose I can't open Catalyst Control Centre right now... I could fix that if I felt like it. I do know some people who's computer slows down with steam open. Maybe you have 32bit Steam or something. Steam releases are usually very stable. Could be an incompatibility with your CPU (if its a
I bought Supreme Commander, enjoyed it thoroughly. Never complained about having to buy separately Forged Alliance. I'm going to buy Leg. Heroes because it looks more like the FE I would like to play. Removing the random traits is nice, makes it feel a little less like HoMM. Adding skills from equipment and the like I approve of. More stuff to play with! Whether I'll have time to play or not... At least SD considered this situation case and gave 50% off to FE owners. And say i

Have you checked Stormworld ? I think that has non-human playable races.
The old installer is indeed a problem. Is your Vista up to date and genuine? Old Versions/Not Genuine might not register as Vista when the installer checks your system. Have you tried uninstalling DirectX?

If you find one with plenty of materials, but not so many enchantments that can be great too. Helps you power through all the upgrade buildings, and start churning out stacks like crazy. Really useful if you don't have Arcane Forge or another suitable location. The enchantments when used with lots of essence can really turn a battle. But with 1/2 essence its really nothing some optimizing/streamlining and a bit of crystal can't add. A lot of my units just come out of (Mancer)

If you keep crashing on 95 consistently, turn off auto-save and see if that makes a difference. You have a sufficiency powerful PC, and no mods. It may be a save crash (search the forums) or a problem with your computer vs the program.
Stardock Counter-Savescum TM ? :P Seems like it would be easy to replicate and fix. :S But it's also easy to avoid, so pretty low priority. I still would like to see a site to collaborate bugs and keep a neat/manageable log of all the bugs we stumble across. It would make tackling them easier for the staff too. I have no talent with webhosting though ;_;.

Capitar Pioneers can build roads by default. The trait can be given to regular units for free. Edit: For Mancer Race only.
And the AI gets plenty of delicious resources from the bribing faction to try and get the power it needs. It was screwed anyway. 2v1 of 60 v 120 seems better than 30v120 and at the rate you were handing out whopping they wouldn't have attacked anyway, just built defenses and explored.
Most of my crystal goes into fire/ice protection. It is very very powerful. Can help to trivialize tougher fights or Offensive casters.

Holy hell I've never built an army that powerful. I've BOUGHT champions plates for heroes once but that's as close I've been. Must have felt good to blast that guy off of the map. I remember when I discovered one of my heroes had Sunder (Wind/Fire Offense spell whatever its called) and blew that sand elemental god out of his Wildlands after 300 turns of getting my ass whopped. Felt good. I'm willing to soul suck a champion onto my sovereign if need be to get access
Primary research gain is from number of cities and level of cities. If you are not expanding enough you will fall behind. If you are not leveling your cities fast enough, you will fall behind. Infrastructure comes next. Building Unrest reduction reducing buildings will give you the full research gain from your cities. Building +research buildings in conclaves will give a massive boost. Followed by Inspiration Enchantment if you have access to it. Exploring fast and aiming for

BlackKrim laying out the Towers like that gave me an idea. What if the spell of making requirements were completely changed around. Rather than waiting for ten turns, you need to get X of each 'element' of mana. You get 2 Air/Fire/Earth/Water shard power from doing the towers. If that counts, then X in the standard game would be 20. In 10 turns you get '20' of each element. So the win condition rewards claiming the most amount of shards, as opposed to simply dumping so
Legacy of Serrane Gifts Warhorse. Unless Serrane pulled her caravans with Warhorses, and Captiar built their roads on the backs of WAR horses, it would be more fitting if it was a heavily bodied, strong work horse. Serrane's caravan immunity would make more sense if their horses were strong and capable of out running attackers, as opposed to being mean looking battle equus. Integrating a Stable into a city might cause the local citizens to start using them as a laboring tool. As a
