Unable to find Salt the Earth. Looked in spell books and hero traits. Do I have to start a new game?
There is a lot of good advice here but do not blindly follow it. Each person has their own style of play which is dependent upon their personality and works for them. Try different things. The big problem is determining the effect off different choices. Open the Details page for a city. You will see a number of items such as Unrest and Food. If you hover over Unrest it will tell you what is effecting it. Double clicking on a monster wi
Fuzzygold if you are referring to the fact that equipment created with a Henchman can be sold/traded and not lost it has already been reported by Chaosti.
Not referring to that.
Increase fame when defeating an army, capturing a city, destroying a faction. Decrease fame when losing. Doubling fame required for next champion is too onerous. Once fame==200, increments should be just 200. Once you get to fame==400, there's little opportunity to increase it.
Review and correct all the text. Some are misleading due to changes and will cause confusion with newbies. A clickable button to do a Quick Save. I have to do it often in fear of crashes. Also have buttons for all the other hot keys that I don't know about. Lower the unrest penalty for multiple cities and for occupation. It makes more sense to raze captured cites than trying to make use of them, especially with a huge map. Modify the unr
Henchmen are created with the Rush ability. Their initial spell traits are limited to just 3. For example, you don't get Life Apprentice but Life Adept (Aid, Heal, Growth) They have another advantage that I will not reveal. If I do, you all will want to nerf it. The disadvantage is that it costs fame and gildar to create them; and usually crystal and metal. You also need to do significant Research before they are available. Same
You can also buy scrolls from an improved Conclave that casts Blizzard with no wait time. It does fail against monsters with magic immunity.
Ascian is tough and might even be OP. Lightening Form is especially useful. Have not yet encountered Mausolos. I think there are a couple others (whose names I've forgotten) and they are good to have.
I think the -1 growth refers to the level 4 fortress upgrade.
Yes, the Prison upgrade decreases unrest by 10% and growth by 1.
There are several city improvements that reduce unrest, cleric, bell tower, etc Keeping a hero or your sovereign stationed in the city also helps. A Commander helps even more when given the Administrator trait. But that sucks since they should all be working out in the field. When a fortress achieves level 4 you can choose having a Prison to reduce unrest globally by 10%.
Please not!! I like it the way it is a lot. You have to think more about positioning your units. Please don't change this
Can't do much thinking when it's not possible to initially position the units. One feeble solution is to do Quick Save before the battle then redo it if the formation is bad.
Really liked playing it. It has a lot of neat gimmicks. Having ships could add a lot to the game. HINT: Do not enter the final battle until you have a lot of time to fight it. Might have taken me an hour. Complaints: Minimal experience points and no fame points when conquering a city. The ship moves too slow. Cavalry can move much faster on roads.
The table of scores at the end shows Draginol having the highest score with 10,000. But I got 17,828! Am I that good or does the table require revision?
Cannot rename henchmen. There is no link.
Attacked Ongr's army. Tamed a Black Window that Ongr immediately killed. After the battle the spider appeared on the tile with 0 HP. It healed up and became functional.
It never occurred to me to not play to win. Anything else is like Farmville. Sometimes I quite when it looks like winning will be a long dragged out effort. I've not been finishing LH games since I've been starting over on new releases. I play Expert level with a huge map. Funny thing is that I was about to complain the the AI factions are not as much of a challenge as they were in FE. They seem to be underdeveloped.
Removed the wage cost form Knights of Asok, Mercenaries (gained from the camp) and Hunters
This is good. The KoA are way over-priced compared to their power. They are a huge drain on gildar.
My mage's attack does not get the increase when equipped with Hailstorm. Taming the Great Wolf allows him to Howl at the beginning of battle to increase the attack of all units. Don't know how other range weapons are affected.
I would like it if my Great Wolf is not placed in the front line where a dragon will kill him on first move.
Had this happen in FE. Unit got trapped. I did report it.
Had this happen to my sovereign in the Arena. I could not locate him. It appeared that he might be outside the Arena on an imaginary tile.
What bothers me the most is having an important unit placed in front where it gets immediately attacked and I would like to decide what units are important. Wilding Riders have high mobility and initiative so their placement near my units is not really an issue.
I reduced Yithril to 1 city which had 0 population. i think the city was then destroyed by a monster. But even then i could not get him to surrender.
Sounds like you have exceeded the resources of your computer.
