I agree. The AI should entertain the player and make the world feel alive, even give the player a good fight now and again, but not bully the player into submission. I can't help feeling a little sad, FE is the game that I have been dreaming of, but the AI is not.
Tattyhat
I would be willing to try anything that didn't include this horrible war hungry cheating AI. But, yes, modding can heal a thousand wounds. [e digicons][/e]
I don't know. It's such a shame, I really love this game but the AI stinks, and most of the time spoils things for me, and I suppose others. The AI should simply get on with it's own game until it is attacked and leave the player alone to get on with thiers.
I hate the AI, I wish it didn't know the meaning of war and land-grab. There I am playing and enjoying the game, and then all of a sudden all the AI declare war on you at once, the game is over. I mean what is the point of that? Just to ruin peoples day I suppose.
The AI ganging up on me has ruined many a game for me, it is far to war hungry for my liking. I would very much like to see a game option, that PREVENTS the AI declaring war on the player, unless attacked or trespassed upon. I would enjoy the game so much more then.
The thing that annoys me about the AI is that it seems very limited in what it does. First it tells you to watch out or it will clobber you. Then it says give me your money. Then it says I am going to war on you. And apart from bragging about what it had for lunch, that's about it. :)
In truth the last time I seen the AI being attacked by a monster was back in beta 0.912. Never have I seen it happen since.
If that Darn AI is cheating again, then there is going to be trouble. ;)
And my twopence. Game is fab and no problems as yet. Xcom has a very limited life even with £500 worth of DLC. FE on the other hand, the sky's the limit. I would vote FE for game of the year, with out a doubt.
and here it is, we tried making a 'kindle' specific version but it did not come out well... this 'slim' version seems to look and function well on tablets (and slower computers). https://stardock.cachefly.net/FE_slim.pdf
Thanks for trying. I will pop the slim version through calibre and see what I can get. UPDATE: If you ru
Your loss Nehanski. FE, rocks baby. :P
I too would love to have a Kindle version of the manual. But now that I think of it, can't you e-mail PDFs to your Kindle? Haven't tried it myself, but I'm pretty sure there's a way to do it...
Calabre can convert pdf's and put them on your kindle but the conversion is flipping awful.
Just imagine if Stardock were the very, very first to produce a kindle manual. It would take the gaming world by storm. Even Mr president of America would have to stand up and take notice.
Yeah!! First round goes to the good guys. [e digicons][/e] NOW, if we could only get Total biscuit and Angry Joe on our side. [e digicons]:\[/e]
Would it be to difficult to make a KINDLE version? I love my kindle, it goes everywhere with me.
I know I'm getting the full game today, so why do I feel sad and a little chocked up. [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
Very nice manual, thank you. I will print of a few pages a night to take to bed with me.
It's just totally cool baby. I am soooo looking forward to reading the reviews and seeing those gigantic scores. Anyone that doesn't love EFE, must be ma-ma-mad. [e digicons]o_O[/e]
We are seeing the true Successor to Master of Magic. There is no higher praise! LOL Sword
I never had a chance to play Master of magic, but it if it's was anything like EFE, then I must have really missed out on something.
Way back when, I remember being hesitant about buying into the EFE beta. I am NOW, so glad I did, and would not hesitate to buy into any other beta that Stardock were to offer. I have had a great time, and am looking forward to many more great times playing EFE. If, by any chance there are gamers out there that don't like EFE, then it is their loss, they know not what they speak. :)
LOVE it, want to play it. Christmas is coming early this year. :D
Four hundred, thousand million.......narr, I'm only kidding. I can't tell you my timer has been reset. :(
I love this sort of thing. It usually means the game will live on for many, many years. :)
EFE, is definitely something different, and there is no telling what the masses may make of it. Myself, I love it. It has that old school play style, that can keep your attention for millions of years, and not like most of the use-and-throw-away games that are appearing for sale these days. It may be that it will become a missive hit or even a classic, it is very h
