I'd love to find a better unrest system for 4x games.
Personally I think it is currently workable the way it is. Build a Onyx throne and your unrest goes down by -30% Prison for other -10%. Or just build those improvements which decrease all unrest to zero in all cities. They're level 2 upgrades if I remember right, I seen an AI build one of those once.

I know i would punch someone's lights out if they tried to call me morrigan. Except Morrigan the Mad (aka Morrigan the Patricide) is an (in)famous figure in the Elemental lore, and most definitely male. He is mentioned in the Hiergamenon (primarily in The Testimony of Guketh), and the Elemental Timeline: 686 B.C. <br

As I was playing a game of FE:LH, i got beaten to city if calebthorn by one turn from altar ninjas. So I decided to make the best out of the situation and demanded that morrigan surrender to me. And she surrenders. As I was checking her equipment out and moving some stuff around.... Then checked her traits. Oh O_o thats interesting morrigan. Just how did morrigan skip all those picks and pick an endgame talent? xD [I
While this thread is still up I think I better ask u frogboy while you're doing this.. is the AI even aware of the unrest reducing buildings? If not, could you put in a script or something that tells the AI to start building those kind of stuff once it reaches a certain percentage of unrest and test how well it works? Its very likely that current inability to manage the unrest is one of the biggest things holding the AI back from being a threat. Its probably worth a
A tactic such as you described, raising a mountain ridge around a city, is not all that effective. It will mean starving your city in order to delay the enemy. Not only that, while you had to raise 9 mountains, all the enemy has to do is lower one (and yes, I'm assuming that if you made mountains impassable that wizards know how to deal with that).
My sins in Expert mode of FE:LH basically consists of me rerolling starts so very much until I get an isolated start then I start playing on that map unless there's an AI that starts like five turns away from me then I will reroll again. Because with isolated start i will have enough time to research stuff and catch up in equipment which the AI already have like by turn 50? Thats what it feels like to me x.x Because I can't really handle
AOW3 is probably going to kill Archon titans and bone dragons.. once those two is gone, its all relentless ICS from there on -.- And it's not making triumph studios look good in my eyes. http://ageofwonders.com/forums/topic/fun-is-ending-ugggguuuuuu-d/ I'm so glad that FE:LH don't have PVP.
Just always do manual battle against certain types of monsters and your problem will go away. Especially shrikes. I still refuse to believe that four air shrikes with less than 40 hp combined is capable of taking down nine knights with over five thousand hp. My knights had to voluntarily let the shrikes attack them many many times while knight spam defend before one could even go down.
I seen the dead AI expand to like four cities once. But he was my neighbor and I killed the dead and that was the end of the lucky AI. And it could be more worse, after all I just did this and the AI completely fell for it allowing the one knight do this look at all the corpses around it? Yeah xD While other guys on the knight's team was just watching and eating popcorn as th
You didn't clear out the monster lairs in your domain first before exploring outside the borders? Anyways, every single thing you have listed, I've yet to encounter such bugs..
Learn about blacksmithing tech and embrace it. It will keep you slightly safe until you reach pikes level of tech in military tree. Pikes level is the "endgame" of the weaponry until you get to the end of magic tech tree. Don't forget about civilization for developing your cities either.
So you're really happy about two free games but extremely unhappy about the delay of dlc?
three units of mages or if you don't have the crystal needed for them early game then use an hero with damaging spell. And if you have any units with magic weapons early in the game laying around, throw them against the banshee but be warned it will only do like 1 damage xD If you don't have any hero with damaging spell.. then well you have no choice but train mages, hunt down those crystal crags and upgrade them. Place an outpost on them if you have to.
Warlock games do many things right, but what I like the most is the fact that a settlement is not a defenseless installation - finally, games like Civ5 and Warlock are getting it. The worst example of how not to do it is Conquest of Elysium, where you can lose a castle to a wandering deer - ridiculous. The population must be able to deal with minor threats by itself, or expansion is not really possible.
