Quoting Ericridge, reply 39 I only play on challenging difficulty. It's time for Hard/Hard, I think. If you're being smoked on tech by the AI on challenging, well... It's not the AI. It's YOU. Even the civ series gooses its AI economy on higher difficulty levels. Time to play against a worthier opponent, instead of knocking Stardock.
Oh my bad I mean

At last! I have successfully simulated what the AI does that makes it look like they're secretly in alliance together with monsters! Here here! Let you all look at this picture so that you can see how I did it! I was screwing around cuz I didn't like my starting spot, too close to challenging difficulty AIs and their cheats but I wanted to explore so I explored. my
Quoting Ericridge, reply 37 To me FE:LH is still very unfinished until stardock get their butts in gear and make the AI understand unrest without being required to download an mod just to account for a major part of the AI. Unfinished? I think that is way too harsh. Many other 4X games have the "mop-up phase" syndrome.
Well considering that Civ series's AI can have massive empires w

They changed the MovementCost for rivers (48 to 8, where 8 = 1x movement), probably related to this: Fixed weird pathfinding bug that caused rivers to be extremely aggravating to deal with Could probably have left it at 16 (e.g. Swamp) or maybe try 20 or 24,

My bet is that a sudden difficulty spike will at least throw the game back into contention, and keep it more interesting. Also, I need "god troops" to fig
I am working on a mod to replace the mop-up phase with sudden empowerment of surviving AIs. Essentially, a turn 300 or 350 event where enemy difficulty will spike, making all surviving players a threat, even if they have only 1 city left. The idea being, you want to hurry and win by a set turn limit, otherwise you'll be caught in a new, 'assymetrical' war where the AI is likely to pound you, unless you rut

More wonders would be a very interesting addition. However, one aspect which I believe is detering such development, even from the modding community, is that the wonderings are a 'first to the tech&#39

I would have to say the ground, mountains, and water. Trees too. They're most outdated in FE:LH i believe. Then nametags of cities is outdated as well, It simply don't have enough text space for long names. However... the catch is if you overhaul the graphics of world then it's the units and cities that look outdated next :P In my case, this is very difficult of a question to answer. Because I'm very tolerant of gra

On average there is 2 iron to 1 crystal node. It is by design that crystals is to be scarce. With that said I had several games where I was swimming in crystals but had completely no iron for like 100 or more turns lol I was so lucky to not have to contend with vergas' sods when had that problem. And np you're welcome.
Quoting perigrine23, reply 6I have to say that golems are one of my big disappointments in this game. Juggs have a few different interesting builds due to the exclusive perks they get. A few more interesting perks to choose from would go a long way toward making golems as cool as they should be. Agreed. I very much expected to find Clay Golems, Stone Golem, and Iron Golems; all with different abilities

Go open city menu and look for the design button and then hunt around in weapons selection, you'll see it around there. I think lightning spear if the name is right is one of them. Its a upgrade to plain ol pikes. But be warned crystal prices is PRICY. I once accidently paralyzed my entire economy in one game once but managed to recover from that price tag shocker.
Quoting Ericridge, reply 2Golems do get more better if you make them unequip the maces which make them slow as hell to swords and other weapons but that's about it to how far I can customize the iron golems. And an iron golem with sword/shield combo plus equipped with some initative accessory and an haste buff up made it an capable tanker able to respond to shifting battlefield. Downside is sorta expensive.
So, it boils down to mass genocide, if I cannot support the number of cities. I guess I'd have to be an evil evil man when conquering the world. I suppose there could be a mechanic to say that the populations could transfer back to your cities... of course the slave trait would have to be adjusted to give a larger production bonus for larger cities, indicating slave labor.
This is off topic
Quoting Frogboy, reply 158 I'd love to find a better unrest system for 4x games. Two related ideas: 1. Make expansion technology dependent. You can only maintain X cities until you research something to increase the number by X. 2. Reading about Endless Legend. If you raze a city, it causes the roads to it to disappear after a few turns due to decay. Cool mechanism for penalizing Razing.
