I wouldn't go so far as to have only one tech tree. The three distinct trees are a really good way to reflect the three avenues of technogical advancement. I would like to see some more cross connection though. Specialty technologies that require advancement from two or more of the tech trees....Example: Unicorn Riders. Prereqs could be: Mounted Combat: standard warefare tech to allow horseback Warg Riders: spe

I like the idea behind a name change for the technology, to make it more interesting, not to keen on some of the suggestion but I probably will have that anywhere. I hope they look over tech at some point, just to smoothen the edges Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I think terraforming and some other spells like Curgen's Volcano, need to to have a casting time. Changing and haping the land should be an exhausting process. The current system you can cast raise and lower land on a whim. I like the spells and the concept, but I think they need to be tweaked.
Id rather have a cool-down, but then again, try to reflect about how it would feel to have to wait and do not
I really likd the one in Alpha Centauri! One might consider a similar boost option where you trade 1 advantage for another disadvantage (usually got 2 advantages though, but I liked it) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
So since I know developers in Elemental read the forums, I will just suggest them to drop an eye over there and probably try to form some bonds with them in benefit of future games. I know you are pretty much in turn-based game rather than real time, but I really think that a future cooperation between those two game studios could really do miracles
And while you do that, make sure you get 10% of the income... Muhahahaha [e digicons]}:)[
Well trading posts might be stuff for the future, but "realisticly" (A word that have little to do with a game like this) if I have a trading post, wouldn't they trade all my good equipment around to all my cities to be more easily available. Another thing you might consider: I don't have to be in a city ATM. to purchase items, I purchase items when I am within my own City Borders, the one clotting up the landscape that you might remember from civ 5. Also I think
The cap isn't the best solution. One of the only reasons to get accuracy-boosting abilities is specifically to get a higher rate of maul, and capping maul will end up nerfing an already underpowered ability.
How is the maul ability underpowered O_o Sincerely ~ Kongdej
cant see pic either, I just get some error message in french :) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I Think firefly should actually try the game O_o While your trading system looks... semi interesting its just another city you have to focus on another silly thing, and a longer way to travel with your "grab items heroes" that you decided to not level because they will spend all they're life running from shop to shop getting items for the sovereign... while this might sound interesting it ruins the feeling that heroes HAVE.. or Should have! they should not be errand boys, but putt

I am in favour of putting in some mechanic I can use against maul instead, I think having to play around the wilderness, choosing a tactic that is better against maul is much more interesting than just nerfing it... Just a thought... Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Quoting Kongdej, reply 5I personally like this idea. If a battle happens to occur in these suburbs, the tactical map could be within a town (maybe with pedestrian onlookers or fleeing peasants). Yes, I am obsessed with fighting in built up areas.
Well thats one of the things I would really enjoy seeing too! :D Sincerely ~ Kongdej
But, putting hills around to restrict movement should have a downside. Food production, as an example, may be impeded. You're troops too, will have the movement restriction. Would be nice if you could cast a spell to create a tunnel through a mountain... aka Moria Alas, for movement to get an overhaul, I think FE's tatics needs an overhaul. It wouldn't be fair to restrict movement on the main map, but not do the
That's why it's good to put on autosave and change it to like every 2 turns.
Well designing the game about having to load the autosave because you sell stuff by mistake is a little... A buyback feature wouldn't be too bad for us morons that take drugs that makes us silly. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Quoting EpilepticFury, reply 11 I appreciate the response DsRaider. +1 It looks like I'll be holding off on this one until either the campaign is confirmed/completed or they implement some form of cooperative multiplayer. Maybe by then the price will have dropped a bit. I look forward to hearing more of the beta participants feedback as the game evolves. If anything, I can see the price
Hmm I always thought the way this works was good. If you build in a straight line following roads it makes it very easy to move your main team around to respond to threats when needed.
I think it feels wrong.. id rather have it work like the roads...
I am a REALLY big fan of how MoM accomplished terraforming. The spells were 'toggle' based. Spell A: Turn Plains to Hills OR Hills to Plains. Spell B: Turn Iron to Gold OR Gold to Iron Those sorts of things. Building Mountains or Sinking lands was never allowed and shouldn't be....too game warping. Then there were the chaos spells. Global spells that really caused mayham, but at random. They did the mountains
The best counter is bows and magical long distance strikes..... Or just being powerfull enough to take him out. It doesent take to much to be almost certain of victory, it's just a bear....
I don't reload, but I still agree that Maul might be better with a little less luck. I agree that playing without reloading is more fun, and that one way of defeating bears is making sure that you are overwhelming powerful, but I kinda think that a max limit on hits would be useful to prevent the times when a bear gets 7 or 8 hits in and brings you down from 50 or 60 hitpoints to zero in one attack. Also, it will become even
Quoting Kongdej, reply 49 Quoting Tattyhat, reply 48Bing!! It has only just come to me where it was I have seen the graphic art of FE before. It was in Borderlands. noticed this similarity too recently (A friend of mine "forced" me to replay borderlands)... Sincerely ~ Kongdej I picked Borderlands up in the Steam sale, and am very surprised how good the game is.
