Wow. So it's broken? Sounds like a need bug fix, then.
Saw a bug report about it at some point, someone looked through the code. I might be wrong though, I just have not seen a bug fix for it through patch notes, and I usually gain no benefit from building it, it doesn't really keep monsters at bay... Sincerely ~ K
Ran across an instance of a darkling shaman/mage casting coal stones every turn. Or let's just say, 4 turns in a row, which was all it needed to destroy all my forces. Can't say whether it would have kept on, or just retired to the local darkling bar to brag about its amplified ability.
Just hit quick combat ;) If it hits you in a quest, its a quest to hit quick combat before he casts coal stones :) Sin
Actually, he seems to be wearing the armor of the gladiator, which is nothing short of awesome. I had it in one of my playthoughts. Here is a picture of a guy wearing it.
I honestly don't like the skin of that armour... Sincerely ~ K
I tend to be on the side of the dragons on issues like this. I love the thought of some juicy new players fattening up my wonderful dragons. Balance be damned.
Me too, although the humies might make a better sport if some fliers was posted through they're training area about how to walk silently around dragon lairs, so they aren't as easy snacks, no dragon should have free snacks, they go lazy I tell you!
So, how does the Warden upgrade for outposts work if it doesn't repel monsters?
It doesn't do anything at all right now. Sincerely ~ K
Also I would still love to see some normalization within the amount of traits the starting heroes get, some start with 3 (level 1 hero) and some level 3 heroes start with 3 traits, I actually hate hiring level 3 heroes... And heroes with weaknesses since they usually don't have anything to make up for the weakness If nothing else, this is one of the things I plan to mod for myself after retail. Sincerely ~ K
It shows 11 units in Dross Archer stack. Really it is 3 units.
I would love that 11 group tech too! =) Sincerely ~ K
In my last game, I noticed that a wandering Air Elemental with a handful of air shrills was able to travel over mountains and oceans.
They have been doing so all along ;) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Actually I'm vanilla Yithril but I got that belt that allows me to control one beast - thus the Cave Bear. He got killed later by some archers so I was a sad panda... at least until I started cranking out Juggernauts.
Oh yea, I always forget those for some reason. Sincerely ~ K
I'm not sure how you are getting multiple burning blades on a unit. Is this only happening on AI units, from your screenshot it looks like Magnar is your unit.
I think Magnar is an AI controlled sovereign, and the player (AllanMandragoran) is playing a sovereign with Beastmaster, since it is 1 sovereign, 1 Cave Bear versus 1 sovereign and 2 stacks of trained units. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I wish Summoner would get some love, mostly in an increased list to choose from. Maybe each magic school had some more units but you needed to be a summoner to select them...
The problem with summoner is not the trait or the amount of summons, but the summoned unit quality, they are only worth any juice early game. Sincerely ~ K
Warlord would be useful with a 75 % reduction and if the wealthy trait would not do basically the same.
I don't think warlord should be increased in potency, hopefull the trained units will be worth more to players soon, and that will mean the warlord trait will see more use, 50% wage reduction is incredibly strong. As long as the units are needed. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
From a modding perspective, there is no way to trigger stuff off crits like that.
I figured as much, although I personally think those are some of the interesting triggers. Just means the developers needs to work harder!! [e digicons]}:)[/e] Sincerely ~ K
Darkling Shaman cast shrink multiple times on my champion, look how small she is! Attack is down to 1 and defense is 0: Reduced 29%Original 1936 x 1118
Good post, that must have been endlessly annoying! Sincerely ~ K
actually I think Nochd was one of the heroes I like to see, but I like to see most heroes, for me its reverse, there are 3-4 heroes I HATE to see, the rest are awesome. Sincerely ~ K
Quests repeat a number of times, for example, I got three or four ophidians just in the pre-placed Quests on the map.
Hmm still get childishly annoyed when the topic is longer than the content >_ That said if frog wants, we can use the quest editor to submit custom quests. - In this way of doing it, all he needs to do is check the quests for bugs and spelling, and see whether he likes dem ofcoruse. Sincerely<br /
You could also just activate a poison dot on assassin critical hits, as a trait? So when the assassin crits, the unit is "certain to die" from poison. Sincerely ~ K
I know others have mentioned it before. Please fix por favor.
The weapon on that picture is not radioactive yet, thats only 3 stacks ;) Try these games where he stacked it above 10 times (he has to have a big empire and lots of mana) Sincerely ~ K
Seen this too, but saw it among another trillion bugs that happened to soloing the map with a sovereign and using auto-turn, so wasn't too sure. Sincerely ~ K
It'll be interesting to see what people think of the campaign. That's effectively a "mod".
GIEF! xD Been kind of excited, since I heard you didn't do the same mistake that all the other 4x games did (4-5 huge maps with monsters on it or whatever) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Quoting Trojasmic, reply 2everybody, please stop asking for nerfs. you're killing me here. Your right, every other weapon in the entire game needs a huge buff! *End Sarcasm. Seriously I picked this up from a old battlefield early one game and dominated an AI player just with it.
But the maul weapons are fine? ^_^ Sincerely ~ K
