A few turns downtime and a slight penalty to some stats doesn't make the consequences of defeat feel really significant. Fighting the same villain over and over again isn't fun, this isn't a comic. And fighting an increasingly more h

Any enchantment in the game should NOT be able to stack. That can just be too abusive.
I always use the exit button. Clicking on the screen in other 4x game has inavertantly moved an unspecified unit too many times for my liking. Exit button means no accidents....only exits.
Not that I have anything specific to add as I have not yet played FE, but these animations and quickcuts (as I like to call them) are what REALLY drove the fantasy appeal in MoM (and that was 8 bit). XD
Yup. It has been my experience that the alternate victory conditions are generally only viable if you turn conquest off or cant be bothered to hunt down your opponents utterly. - Alliances only really happen when everyone is afraid of you. Requires Conquest. - The Magic stuff takes so much production and so much time to get there that you kinda have to wait for it. Happens late enough you pretty m
In their defense and despite being the closest thing to date....FE isn't suppose to be MoMII.....it's suppose to be FE. As I understand things, they own whatever right are left to the game....doesn't mean they have to use it though...
Yikes....I put myself under the impression that essence was only going to be available on select tiles (kinda like Nightshade in MoM) . From the desciption above it seems like every tile is going to have essence...and that your enchants will consume X of the total Y of essen

External resources get disabled when attacked but come back online after n turns (this is subject to internal play testing results).
Can outposts be razed?
This is a mix between RPG and TBS. IMO, the more the game starts to feel like a story, the more fun it is. Heroes and villains are impossible to kill. They always seem to be able to escape somehow. I like that this is recognized in the game. There are certainly some problems with the mechanic, but I see no reason to scrap it entirely. Especially since a resurrection mechanic is essentially the same thing.
I'
Norton is unsafe. Try use a program that virus' aren't attracted to. I have done tests: 2 machines....one with Norton and the other without. I then proceed to view questionably safe sites....the same time....on both machines. Sure enough, the Norton machine picked up the virus and has trouble fighting it; the non-norton machine I virus scan afterwards an no virus? Coincidence? I think not.

LOLZ. Funny and sad at the same time. Obviously something that shouldn't of happened, but you've just won the 'shortest game ever' award. Great find. XD
When it comes to karma, I've actually found the theory of obtaining it very hard to achieve on these threads. The fact that someone has to go out of their way in a click le click world to actually mention your positive accomplishment is quite the expectation. When it comes to spending the $50 on EWoM, if I had been aware of the product, I would have been right on board.....for the disappointment. As such, life (yes...that strang thing that happens when you are not in front o

It really reminded me of a 'lord of the rings' grand adventure. This new map takes away from that.....but they're clearly going in this direction....and it doesn't hurt the mechanics of the game...so I suppose I'll get used to it.
yeah....those enchants really shouldn't stack. Hopefully they fixed that with beta 4
I would imagine that a champion would understand their worth to you....since he/she is a unit for hire, there should come a time where they expect to renegotiate there wage. Else, they'll go else where and see if someone else wants to pay them. That would be a very interesting dynamic. Make strong champs, and their upkeep will go up. However, the increased upkeep is worth it because of the champs value. edit: and by upkeep, I refer to their hire fee

But If you want MP, would you be willing to pay a dollar for it? I would and I would like it very much. No special modes, no different rules. Just make it work, and make it easy for people to play together. No OOS. No crashes. Allow modding for MP. Other than that keep gameplay same as SP. you are absolu
For me, I don't care one way or the other as I don't use Steam....and never will. However, IF they shut down, I wouldn't have to see the gaming community spiral towards 'steam only' games anymore. Things like Civ V or Skyrim are real burners. They're single player games, yet require online connection to play. Pathetic. And you can't argue the 'offline mode' because you shouldn't need to go online to play offline. Auto updating is a
They shut down? LOLS....just read your title and I had to. XD
I prefer the middle of the road. The need for both few juggernaut AND many minions....but obviously not the the extreme of either. The big units have to be scaled in upkeep enough that a player can only have a few of them. Scouting and troop position becomes key in making sure your big force can meet up with opponents big force. At the same time, you don't want to have your juggernaut troops taking out all the little things. That's overkill....and wasting th
I am a REALLY big fan of how MoM accomplished terraforming. The spells were 'toggle' based. Spell A: Turn Plains to Hills OR Hills to Plains. Spell B: Turn Iron to Gold OR Gold to Iron Those sorts of things. Building Mountains or Sinking lands was never allowed and shouldn't be....too game warping. Then there were the chaos spells. Global spells that really caused mayham, but at random. They did the mountains and sinking lands stuff...
Mountains are awesome. Have cliffs too!
I can see both sides of this coin. One the one hand, I totally understand Kongdej 's position and can agree that the first city shouldn't be overly emphasized. We are building an empire afterall....and especially with the 3 new city specializations....at minimum now we're going to need 3 good city spo
