- a button/option to attack heroes instead of recruiting them, even if they are friendly, perhaps with an influence penalty May I suggest a faction prestige penalty instead? And/or a large increase in recruiting heroes in the future.
Excellent comment :) thank you Heavenfall !

Hey Brad and Derek, So I've been playing FE from the start, and have spent more than 10 hours with this new beta, and I wanted, for the record, to give you what is my definitive and complete feedback of issues that absolutely need to be addressed in order for this game to be close to perfect. I realise some of these may not be possible before release, but I would really like to see them scheduled for a patch or expansion if that is the case, as I feel that ALL of my propos

Derek and other Stardock peeps - I have posted a VERY serious gameplay issue / bug about autoresolve not using magic any more, in this link: https://forums.elementalgame.com/433204 This has also been reported elsewhere as well ( https://forums.elementalgame.com/432819 ) and causes a HUGE cheat benefit for all non-magical AIs, a big disadvantage for magical AIs, and a Ca

This has been posted before in the general forums (see link: https://forums.elementalgame.com/432819 ) but has not been addressed, and can easily be the single bug that ruins the playability of this game: When a battle is autoresolved (either Player vs AI or AI vs AI) NOBODY (neither side) can use magic during the battle. This means, among other things: - being on constant autoresolve, fighter-based AI can win A

Can somebody from stardock PLEASE reply on this? It may very well ruin the game if left unfixed...

Has this been addressed and/or fixed in the next patch? It's a big issue and affects the whole gameplay...

Brad and Derek, please respond to this - the problem of the AI not using magic in autoresolve battles is CRITICAL, and may ruin the game... it messes up AI battles and gives COMPLETELY different results between manual and auto-resolved tactical battles, making auto-resolve a game cheat rather than a convenience. The solution is, as recommended several times, to have TWO auto-resolve modes: the standard one, used throughout the game, which uses magic and consumes mana, and a
Quoting Wizard1200, reply 27 Yep, more spell combinations would be great, but they would not help to differentiate mages, because everyone could use them. Not reasonably. Because if you're running an assassin, you wouldn't want to spend 8 traits/levels in order to learn (to use my example from earlier) Fire 4 and Earth 4. You'd end up with a crippled assassin who misses some good assassin
Quoting GFireflyE, reply 16[Balance] Inspiration is extremely powerful at the very beginning of the game. It cuts your research by half! Run that one by me, again? Casting Inspiration on a city cut your research by half? I've been using it in the latest beta, and without fail it's increased research. Of course, if you have a lot of unrest, it won't increase things much.&

This may not be a big issue, but I strongly think we need an option to attack heroes instead of just recruiting or leaving them there. There are several reasons for this: 1. If we don't want a specific hero, we either have to leave them for the enemy or to hire them and disband them, which seems silly 2. Even for our own side's heroes (empire or kingdom), we may not want them left for other sovereigns 3. It would provide for even more challenges / interes

Sometimes after a battle the treetops near my unit become white instead of green or purple. Zooming in / out once or twice fixes this, but it still gets annoying. Is there some graphical tweak I can do to avoid this from happening? Do other people experience it or is it just me? I am running a very high-end 64bit system with the new Nvidia 690 card, so it's not a matter of performance power...

Derek - please find below my buglist / wishlist for 0.981, hoping that some of the items in the list will make it in 0.982: [bugs / fixes] - treetops sometimes turn white (instead of green or purple) after a battle. Zooming in and out fixes this, but it gets really annoying... - floating waterfalls at the end of rivers when they end on land (other people and myself have reported on this ad nauseam) - return piers, logging camps etc. to their prev

I must say I LOVE the current build - it seems less buggy, more balanced and more fun than the previous ones, and is keeping me occupied well beyond my allotable time to play... I do, however, have to submit my own buglist and wishlist, which IMHO would bring the game that much closer to perfection and classic status. Here it goes: [bugs / fixes] - treetops sometimes turn white (instead of green or purple) after a battle. Zooming in and out fixes t

Brad, I think that this game is (a) fun, and (b) much closer to complete than many games that have been released in the past, so bravo to you and the whole team... Please however look at my "wishlist" thread to see which ones of these could possibly be implemented within the next betas...
I like where is is going. i could imagine something like every enemy unit adjacent to you lowers your defense a bit. And a party would count as 3 for instance.
Brad, this idea is EXCELLENT!!! Call it "flanking", and give it some bite, and together with the changes in Beta C you've practically solved the hero vs troops issue altogether :)

I've reported this problem since Beta 4, and have gotten no reply from the devs. It is annoyingly immersion-breaking... PLEASE Derek and Brad, put it in the bug list for the next beta !!!
Just thinking out loud. Why not add some traits to groups of units that allow bonuses for attacking heroes? Why not add a trait to certain monsters that specialize in killing heroes? An inverse of the Overpower trait? The logic here is twofold: grant additional bonus to groups of units for "swarming" a hero because it's a group, they can surround and attack from multiple angles, etc. Furthermore, grant bonuses to select mobs
There's two things that may explain what you're seeing. 1. The mites may have left because the lairs were, for a considerable period of time, under the dominion of the player or an AI. 2. An AI army may have killed the mites, but failed to loot the lair, either because it lacked a champion, or because its champion thought there was something more important to do.
the lairs are right next to my starting po

Has anyone else found all mite lairs conspicuously empty of mites? In my current game I am encountering the lairs, and getting the rewards from entering them, but have not yet found any mites either in the lair or roaming outside of it... This problem only occurs with mite lairs - I can post a link to a savegame if that will help... Cheers, bendiwolf
Quoting Emperorjarin, reply 11I agree, but perhaps the devs or a clever modder should change the restore land spell to a lower-level, and make an equivalent for Empire players as well... Already done. It is a level 3 earth spell with no tech prereq in my mod.
well done seanw3 :) !!! Now if only you got your quotes right ... ;)
I agree with UmbralAngel that the above is the biggest problem Fallen Enchantress has. Many other players I very much respect have spoken about this. I'd list them, but then I would forget someone, and I'll feel bad about the unintended slight. As a matter of fact, I do not believe that there are that many who disagree. Most people are just not sure about how to fix it. There are a few proposed solution
