Thus, it can be that heroes are far more rare and, perhaps, more powerful than in FE, and stack of doom are to make.
This is why I'm keeping an open mind.

There are many problems with the lighting/shadows in FE that basically make it a 2d game with a 3d engine. Just look at your cities from a low angle on the 'shadowed side' of the building. It looks horrible; you never want to view the world from that angle - ever - and something about that is just not right. I'm not a huge proponent of cutting edge graphics in a strategy game. However, we're dealing with a 3d engine and these are issues which must be
I would very much like to be able to have governors alter the experience yield for troops in a city they are stationed in.
Do you mean the governor alters the XP of troops stationed in the same city in which the Governor is stationed, or that a governor alters XP for all stationed troops in all of your empire's cities? The former would require some new tags, while the latter may be able to be

I just purchased Endless Space a few days age and am loving it. Buy that game Frogboy and rip off the UI. Just steal it. Study it. Live it.

I only played the original AoW way back in the day, but as I recall that game and FE/LH can't really be compared. AoW was all about the magic and assailing your opponents. It is strategy lite and tactics heavy as I recall. FE/LH is kinda the opposite: strategy heavy and tactics lite. It is more of an empire builder than a tactical wargame. There is still along way to go in all aspects of the game (yes AI, I'm looking at you) but it is a nice game an

I really haven't used any mods in Civ 5 yet, I really like the base game as is. Haven't really played any MP either because I don't know anyone else that plays, and trying to join public games is a pain in the ass.

I don't think it can universally modded into the game at this point. the main reason it's not there is because the AI wouldn't be able to deal with it very well.

I would just make it a high level (15+) skill at the end of a long ability tree. Can't really do much about 'chance' at this point. Hopefully in LH melee skills will at least work like a melee attack.
