Allow me to make counter-proposals when the AI contacts me with a potential trade.
I should have included the ability to edit custom sovereigns and factions (bolded above) in my post.
I'll change it in the OP accordingly.
Damage potential indicator (bottom right corner of tactical UI when mousing over potential target) needs to update completely especially when using spells and abilities.
Updated. Keep em coming guys. Also adding a couple of +1's to a couple of the suggestions I particularly agree with.
I'd honestly would like to be able to taunt the AI factions.
Hey folks. I've got a few suggestions for the UI which I would like to see implemented for LH. Post your suggestions below, and I'll do my best to add them to the OP. If you particularly agree or disagree with any of the suggestions, I'll try to add a +/- rating next to each one indicating your opinion on that point. <a href="https://forums.elementalga
Many unit or hero traits (Veteran, ...) are too weak and should be either removed or improved. Units should be able to select the Axeman (+ 25 % Cleave damage), Bruiser (+ 25 % Crushing Blow damage), Spearman (+ 25 % Impale damage) and Swordsman (+ 25 % Counterattack damage) trait, too, because these traits are more much interesting than the Bloodthirsty (+ 25 % damage against wounded units) trait.
Can't say that I agree with
@abob Ah yes, I had forgotten about that little trick. I completely retract everything I have ever said. Ever.
I thought heavenfall accomplished this with his background stats mod library. Sets up appropriate variables to the units depending on whether they are mounted or not. With the new tags in LH I think this would be possible now, but I'd have to look deeper into this though.
What new tags? UnitStats are great for Calcs in Game Modifiers, but those can only be used in SpellDefs. So yes, you can set up
Sorry I don't agree with you 3 at all. Many players are making this point and I doubt they really understand the powerful effects that levelling faster has. I'm not saying you don't understand but these skills are certainly not a waste of time unless you have a champion that will gain very few more levels. These skills add a great deal of depth to the game and are not "pointless" or a "waste of time" The level up skills Pote
no.
and its easy to create weapons that give bonuses vs mounted units
There is definitely neither an easy nor good (or even possible) way to give an unmounted spear-wielding warrior an intrinsic bonus to a mounted unit, which is based solely on the weapon their wielding, through the XML. Unless you've recently stealth-added a new tag or two that we don't know about.
Nevermind, just read your post above. I guess we'll see how it all works out.
Also the random quest where you can get Bako (or however, it is spelled) happens too often and gives you another champion way too early.
Bacco is a volunteer, gosh-darn-it!
I agree that paths need a lot of love. To me tightening the paths will be the highlight of this beta. If they are going roll with a name like Legendary Heroes, then SD had better step up to the plate.
Honestly I think they could run with both systems on and it would be even more tactically funtastical.
I've played about 300 seasons in my current game as Tarth, and the damn thing has never, ever missed. Kinda feels a little cheap. You would think at -30 accuracy it would be dodged fairly regularly. But, nope!
1) Offer an option to show the civ colors instead of the strength level for units and terrain.
I don't understand what your asking for? What UI element are you talking about?
2) Add the civ to the tooltip when mousing over terrain or units.
This is given away by the color of the header on the tooltip.
3) Make it a real threat level and leave the neutrals green.
If by this you mean a relative threat
The one endearing quality about Bacco is that if he joins you he doesn't ask for a salary.
I also think that with more fame you should get higher level heroes. But I'd like to see it that at some point (say, for example, level 9) the heroes start coming with some starting set of attributes but that you get to choose further attributes up to the level of the hero, in the same way that you can choose the attributes of henchman that you train in fortresses that provide level bonuses.
Good call. Sparkles persisting on strategic map. Reloading the game clears it up.
Tarth faction ability Double Strike never misses, despite having the CanBeDodged tag turned on. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the GameModifiers not containing a Value. debug.err
