And of course the "stack of doom" issue (or, the AI's inability to build them) is what really keeps the tactical battles from being "half the coin" of the game. The AI is quite something to behold - better than any other strategy game - but it spreads its most powerful stuff out too much. As long as the single winning strategy is to build a singular "strongest" army, the AI should be doing that. Either the game, or the AI, needs to change.[/

THIS IS A BAD WAY TO START OFF ANEW! You know how long it takes to REDOWNLOAD and REINSTALL this 3GB game with only 3.0mb per second download speed and that's at PEAK performance. There's going to be literally thousands trying to redownload and install this game today. FAIL FAIL FAIL...

Why are you using a cave bear at level 30?
heh, checking different parts of tha game to see 'what happens if I do this' - and your question only strengthen's my point, people right now won't consider raising a 'cave bear' up to lvl 30, but if they get better lvling bonuses then this might be a more common happening a lvl 30 cave bear would have 45 attack, 30 defen

I was also thinkin that maybe we could have an initiative bonus for being really lightly encombered = right now starting at 40% we get negatives well what if we went less than 20% we get +1 init, less than 10% +2 init, 0% +3?

I don't know what I have to do to get you to do this for me oh great & magnificant Frog, but I would very much like ta be able to set on a large map say 10 or so lets say 'wilding' or ogre camps then set all those camps under a custome faction. The camps would spawn the creatures at the pace they normally do but be under the control of one entity - this would allow for one to make a map with nearly every race as an empire/clan/tribe of it's own Just thin

the reason I ask is I had my leader all decked out for speed (as much as possible), started the game with one of the starting bows, found a hate stone (+1 initiative), and still the 3 packs of wolves I fought were able to move across the battle field, attack me, then attack me a second time before I could even get one arrow off Just seems like archers should be able to fire faster, but have less chance to hit

I've only played custom factions, but I like making heavy armour archer units so I've been using the trogs during the last few faction makes. The weight bonus helps me have higher initiative & the +1 to attack helps as well. I don't even use the juggernauts my apologies for not having a standard faction when I play, but with my custome setup I have archers with all but the chest piece of master plate (use a +5monk robe or somethin), th

oh yeah baby!!!! - you can place any unit any where, but can you assign those units to a particular faction? One can make some neat maps if you only give 'player9' a bunch of ogre & troll camps to work with - this gives a unique type of 'minor faction' ability & unlike in KohanII, you don't have a limited amount of players that can be assigned to the game (I think the total was 9 seperate players in KohanII) I would love to set up a map with
