heh, I had something like this happen, I had made a couple factions but both had the first one's race
it's seems funny that I can snake to everything else though, everything but....forrests & rivers
the difference between those that start with forrests & rivers / those that don't is quite awsome - one could say nearly game breaking if factions are held to a small area (one city) I believe the game really needs a setup for picking starting locations like we do for sov & faction creation: https://forums.elementalgame.com/433646 I use logic: if one can build the town square against a wood or wate
I believe tha Frog knows of this problem (I don't know when it'll be fixed, but it is a rather 'big' problem)
I play games with the 8 standard factions all as challenging, then I have @12+ custom factions that are all on easy - mid-way through tha game one can't tell which is which by the power ratings
Adventurer: Some of my stronger (ai controlled) factions have used this, works well with lots of chimps & lots of room to dwell, also nice to use master scouts with this - but they don't do very well without room to expand/search for chimps Armorer: Ya, this one is nice Bandit Lord: A lvl 1 warrior specialized sov straight out of creation can handle just about any bandit army (two points needed only - one in might & one
normally restarting the computer & running disk clean-up allows me to make one run at the map makin, but any attempt to save & come back to it results in crash.... now any attempt at playing at all results in crash
might also give another +1 for each 10% under 0? incase one wished to specialize in speed (this way you might end up with your +5 your wanting)
penalties start at 40% weight, was thinkin maybe get a +1 init bonus if under 20, then another at 10, and another at 0?
cool, averages back out with the 7.8 or whatever it was - a solid 'B' all around ain't bad (can't wait to see it jump with the coming dlc & expansions
robust map maker - I guess..., this question hurst my head to think on
they work great as city defense, militia = fodder "But sir, won't we hit our own troops as well? Why yes we will, but WE have reinforcements"
agreed, summoning has almost 0 appeal to me with summoning limits, if you have tha mana to upkeep them, then let it be so
How does any of this confuse anyone? It's incredibly simple. You would have to be trying to be confused.
lol - Love your style (when it's not directed at me ;)
I just deleted my 20ish custom factions 'again' for the latest update, only now instead of the hours I'll be spending finding good setups for another 20ish, I"ve got this sweet map pack coming that allows for I"m thinkin 60ish factions anyway. So in an attempt to keep my sanity I thought I'd ask ya'll what your favorite/strongest ai competitor setups have proven to be over a series of games ('series of games' since starting spots are so random).
I'm in love, love I tells yus - keep those 'packs' coming
I like this - I"m still tryin to figure out a way ta make an ai opponent that uses a certain 'creature' race or two without the ability to settle a city & produce normall units - this would work well with it I think
IMO, they do need a slight nerf, but I really think the AI needs some help on using some of the special units. Although to be fair, it's still WAAAAY better than Golems or Henchmens. The AI is completely hopeless with those, although Golems just suck in general.
perhaps balance the Golems & the Juggernauts against one another since one is the epitome of offense & the other defense, either should when 50% of the time - I sp
I'm sorry, I'm soo drugged up right now I can't think clearly. How does one purchase the game for another? Can we get a hard copy delivered to them, or...?
heh, a couple 'expansions' & it'll be 5/5 for sure
doesn't seem like stacks of doom wouldn't be a problem at all if the ai uses overland spells, 2nd lvl water mage gets freeze which holds an entire army still for two turns - I believe just this one spell could end a stack of doom style opponent pretty easily - or if the ai used stacks of doom, I think a human player could/would take them more easily in alot of cases
I'm just thinkin that if a magically inclined Sov specializing in the 'beast master' ability wants to take a liking to one of his pets, it would be nice if he could turn it into his own "Jaberwookie" Think of how much spice it would at to the game if one could obtain an ogre or troll or bear or wolf or any creature in tha game and 'infuse it with his magic' or simply 'feed it steroids/mites' until it was really something to be feared. I remember a mov
