I always started my sov off with the best gear I could buy'em, this way you would be hard pressed to be killed off too early, this & if your really having a hard time then choose the sov option that allows you to have two units start off with you, plus you can pick a 'guardian' creature when your city lvls if need be

The Dragon Lance books have a cult following (guessing @ 15-20 books in the main story line, with countless numbers of side stories/books), there was talk of a dragon lance mod for wom but perhaps it will be made for FE
it looked like a star wars version of wow to me, lightsabre battles are lame (in the movies/books/'starwars reality', when you 'touch' another with your sabre it cuts through them severing limbs/torso/what have ya, not causing a lil burn damage each of the 30 times you hit them), the 'tank' (more wow cr*p) was shot @ 1000 times with laser fire from small arms & large turrets that take down fighters & such, in star wars 'reality' normally one small arms
would be a nice addition for sure
thanks for the vid, really hit tha spot
"champions don’t die if they are defeated in a battle. Instead, they get injured and pick up a negative trait" "29 mana was used to retreat" - so what if they don't have 29 mana? ah.. captured maybe?
Perhaps scooby snacks? edit: "Three firsts in a row!" Now thats dedication!!
too cool!! edit: "Still not porn" - dunno, turned me on
The continents are maybe a little too square-shaped (I see that rotating helps much). But still, really nice maps! What are the dimensions of those big squares?
16x16 making the top map @ 60x60 & the bottom @ 80x60 = TINY maps, I'm loving the farther away from starting locations you go the more dangerous & more rewarding, adds alot to the questing 'feel', will make my '400
Edited: But it would be great if you guys gives us something back like daily journals.
If easy enough please oh please make sure there be an epic sized map option with all the bells & whistles the game has to offer (All the Wildlands, 50+ custom factions, etc. and might I suggest, "I better see some god damn ponies!" , a huge lumberjack with high constitution/strength wielding a throwing axe
take all the time you need to make this a fun game
2nd
Finally got my first Karma after working on it for over a year, decided to make a part 2 in my enthusiasm, spent over 5 hours putting it together, then comp crashes & lose everything, maybe I'll try again later - It was quite the epic tale too, f'n sucks....
LOL!!!!!
Thanks for that. I hadn't seen the second video before. Good stuff from Derek and Jon.
Same here
Caravan's have levels like cities. Level 1 is an undefended caravan (dude in a covered wagon). Level 2 is that same dude with a few hired swords. Level 3 is full armed caravans. Level 4 is a nationally patrolled road defended by soldiers equal to the most common unit type in your kingdom. Cities have an upgrade that allow patrolling of roads. Require the upgrade at both ends for full patrolling or make the upgrade at each end create stronge
wow, can't wait to play this, are the outposts free to build? & I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have a 'vault' or armory in cities that allow one to store equipment so heroes don't have to carry around uneeded items takin from other heros/quests & such but that are too good to want to sell, this way if your heroes get defeated they might still be able to 're-equip' with items you've stored up rather than possibly losing everying they have
could you guys put some gameplay videos on yt, so we can see the game in action? Thanks
Since there isn't goin to be a big push for advertisement, I think that this would be a great way to get the 'word' out about the game. Maybe the devs/dedicated fan could make a 30+ min. video showing the highlights of a game played through. A good video answers alot of questions one has about a game
too kind, too kind, I would shower you in some good ol' brown noisin but since I"m not sure you fancy such things we'll have to keep it too this: Greatest, most magnificant, wonderful, the smartest, wisest, handsomest, more groove than tha Fonz, h*ng like a blue whale, b*lls large enough to come in a dump truck, Badest Big Dog Bull Frog in tha pond!!!
I myself would be ok with just an overview shot of each of the Wildlands to druel over Thanks in advance, & Have a nice Thanksgivin!!! Edit: wasn't sure if his went here or in FE Wishlist
I like the idea of there being a set number of champions that are in a sense, immortal. They don't die, they can get hurt, but not killed. When their kingdom/empire is destroyed, they become free agents again.
I differ here, I do not want a 'set' number of champions, this limits the game too much without some way to make our own (I am not good at making mod
I think this one lvl 10 hero could make it through all of Baldur's Gate I by himself, & look good doin it. Edit: "Thanks for reply. I really like to read your posts about AI. BTW, I like that there will be a non-cheating-AI in FE." I second this
