I thought i would add some comments to add to what Das123 has said. 1) I like his comment about the random opponents. That would be a nice button to have. One major nitpick. You have th sovereign selection screen, the map setting screen and the customize opponents screen. Why are these not on one screen, you have to bounce back and forth between them several times to make sure you have everything selected on the setting you want. 2) character screen, level up screen, inv

My latest game i had a perfect start 5/3 land next to food and shards with a perfect hero selection of three heroes. challenging ai, dense monsters. Went over to the first quest hut. It wasa a bard song summon dragon thing, i thought what th eheck why not- lets see what happens. oh he sumons adrogan with the song, i had hoped he was lying. Apparently not. First time i saw the dragon model in the game. Nice pretty green colour. How strong could it be from a l
with regards to #2 i find this problem with every tool tip pop up or context sensitive cursor change.
I dont cast it in ther zone i cast outside of it.
Oh. It's a scoring thing lol. I was fearful it was going to make BAD things happen, randomo disaters, sudden spawning of wildlands in the middle of your kingdom, that sort of thing...
With all of the city buildings maintenance costs seemingly being gradually removed (this part is not the complaint) what effect will this have on the the city level up bonus building that reduces this cost by 50% ? At the moment this building appears to be a lovely model, but largely....useless.
You are of course right kalin, but it is confusing at first and the layout of the storage system could be improved. maybe you can have train of pack ponies following your sovereign wherever s/he goes, i know we can get ponies into the game somewhere.
I was just looking at the ledger reports on the other kingdomes to see what info would be shown before i met anyone. I am currently playing a large map with all champion ai with normal resources and magic with the monsters turned up. I will note i did not see a way to increase the number of available quests in the game, oh well. However on the screen that reports your progress towards winning, i saw it shows how many tunrs have passed in the game. Does it show a 1000 turn limit to the g
all i am saying is i expect the ai to do to me what i do to it lol. i look at the patterns i use when i play, ,i think about ho i can use this spell or that trait, then i would hope that brad does the sme thing and program the ai to do it too. If you don't want the ai to microwave you, dont have the spell in the game. Mind you, there are very loose restrictions on how many times you can cast a spell per round which i find very unnerving and pray the ai never starts to abuse.
Replicator i wold agrre with you if the ai managed its mana better and kept a portion of it back at all times to microwave its opponents, but it isn't even doing it once or twice. You have a spell that will lower initiave before a fight starts, and a spell that will slow world map movement speed and a spell that will divide up a stack and toss it around the world map a bit, and a spell that deal raw damage. i never see the ai use these spells. it uses city enchantments, but
It seems to me you are talking about 2 different things here. 1) you want less clutter and more of a wilderness feel to the game for as long as possible. The dev's certainly agree with this idea and are redesigning cities to deal with this. This will help a lot. As to the exact role of the outpost, the dev's don't seem to be too certain about this. It
sadly i overwrote the save game sigh uhg.
hehe further abuses of the spell - i can make a corridor of space to travel through other peoples ares by carving through their zone of control by mass casting of theis spell.
The regeneration spell does not update the number of life shards you have after the spell has been set so if you gain life shards after you have cast the spell you have to cancel it and then recast the spell to gain the improved benefit. For example the courage spell gives the proper number of hp if you gain more life shards after you have cast the spell. Noticed this when i discovered about 8 shards next to my pariden city. Funny, since i have very little expansion choices. was
I might still have the save game i will have to check later.
There's nothing wrong with the idea of the spell per se, its the enormous casting range that makes the spell broken. You can scout and grab any resource on the map, and you can build a road through enemy territory by putting one down on the other side of where you want to go. Bang instant road. Someone made the suggestion that the monolith is placed in the same square that the sovereign is in while casting the spell and i think that is a good solution. 30 mana cost is a good
follow up post - used the hammer in a fight against 5 billion hoarder spiders and their mommy. I could use the double damage attack once during the fight. the +1 metal per turn might be giving me one metal at the end of the fight, not sure. I will have to count totals before and after fight. The extra metal i thought i was getting was actually arriving from 2 mines i built recently and had just started to ship metal lol. So i would say this hammer is not very cle
This hammer reads +100% attack and +1 metal. I think in the game i am playing i am gaining a permanent +1 to my metal per turn every time i use this in a battle - at the moment i have only needed to use it once per fight but i am about to try using it as the only weapon used during a battle and will keep my army back to see what happens. It appears from the text that it should be +100% attack, i would assume a cooldown period, and +1 metal per turn. Not per use in a
you can research various food tech in the civ tree, also bear in mind that you can use at least 2 cities that have a high materials production rather than food so a 2/3 or 2/4 or 3/3 or 3/4 is very usfull when it comes to cranking out troops and in that cicty your not goning to wnt the higher level buildings. Your going to use your production in this city to crank out troops.
I again love this spell, and i didn't realize it was faction specific unitl i read the changelog - which is funny. I realize it is supposed to act as an outpost, but since i have unlimited casting range anywhere in teh world so to speak, as long as it is not in someones zone of control and i have scouted it out, isn't the ability to instantly build a road to this point abusive ? i can scout around an enemies kingdome and plant a monolith on the other side of his kingdom
Maybe i'm playing the game much differently than you but i find i am being much more cautious because i don't want my cities to be destroyed with the land being rendered infertile. I find this single fact slows the pace down. Everytime i get ahead of myself i get caught by expanding too fast and a wandering monster destroys a city. The militia only does so much without any armour. I recently played a game where i lost a potential 6/3 city when a demon assasin wandered thro
yeah, we were joking when we said it was a delaying tactic - that would be giving the ai too much credit [e digicons]:-"[/e]
My point ws that is seemed possible to do the quests with 2 heroes and a few army units in leather and a weapon upgrade if your heroes have some good loot drops from teh monsters, but maybe that has already been fixed. i didnt' say more prerequiste on spells. Not sure where you go tthat from. I didn't think i was asking for a being change, just something that seemd more logical for when you would want to take those techs. i guess i'll write up a full length c
oh it was minus ten percent lol
i like this idea. Thumbs up.
